Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
My career in graphic design followed the creation of my own business when I fell in love with creating a visual brand identity. While running this business I did all of the design and creative direction. I enjoyed it so much I decided to pursue graphic design full-time. Since that decision, I have learned so much and have worked with so many amazing creative directors and clients!
Q How do you stand out in your field?
My unique career background which includes owning a business and working in social psychology gives me a unique perspective and skill set when working with clients. Additionally, my eye for photography and illustration aids in bringing beautiful brands to life.
Q What are you working on right now?
I am currently working on a really exciting new supplement brand identity.
Q What’s your style?
My style is ever-evolving, but my goal is always the same- to create beautiful brands that align with a client’s needs.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I would love to do more heavy illustration projects!
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Taxes and perfectionism.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
Respond to emails and slack messages!
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
At the start of my design career I wish I would have told myself that the confidence in my design work will come with time just be patient.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I wold love to learn more about custom illustration businesses.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I am always looking to work with individual businesses or design studios/agencies to bring brands to life.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
I haven’t worked on any designs in the music industry so I would love to work on creating a visual representation of an artists work.
Q What is your rate?
My hourly rate is 45/hour, and I am also open to project rates which vary depending on the scope of the project.
