Responsibilities:
- Assist in the fabrication of production ceramics for wholesale, trade, and custom commissioned ceramics.
- Perform fabrication duties such as rolling out slabs and preparing and assembling production ceramics (must have at least 5 years of slabbing experience)
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time, utilize hands and arms in a variety of positions with a wide range of grip strength and manual dexterity, and lift and carry up to 25 pounds Studio Fabricators have a high level of working knowledge of best practices for slab ceramics
Who we are: The setting for this position is within an art studio in northeast LA, that houses the creation, fabrication and sale of mixed media sculpture with a primary focus in ceramics.
Who we need: If you are an individual with prior art and studio experience as a Fabricator that is seeking either full or part time hours, has the skills and abilities to work in a small studio environment assisting the Creative Director transform artistic ideas into magnificent sold artifacts, and is seeking an opportunity to become part of a growing business, it would be great to hear from you.
