WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I’ve been working in web design for 20+ years. I found Squarespace, fell in love, and broke up with WordPress.
HOW DO YOU STAND OUT IN YOUR FIELD?
I’m old(see above)-er than your typical Squarespace designer, so I have a lot of experience to bring to the table. I’m also a stickler for the stuff you can’t see: best practices like image optimization and on-site SEO.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
Right now I’m working on a website for an interior designer in Washington DC. I love working with interior designers! They have a great sense of balance and proportion AND come prepared with amazing photographs.

Great question. I find SEO fascinating and have a good working knowledge, but I'd love to spend more time in the nitty gritty details of it.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
How much time I spend on repetitive tasks. I’m just jumping into Dubsado which should help tremendously!
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Can it be non-work related? I’d have them cook and clean. I don’t love doing those things, I’d rather be in front of the computer!

Kerstin Martin and Sarah Moon are also women who work in Squarespace and web design. Each of them fosters collaboration rather than competition and are willing to share their knowledge and experience with other designers. They have both made me a better designer and business owner.
