WHAT DO YOU DO?
“I make things for the internet. ”
More specifically I create high converting creative for the web from Squarespace sites to photography.
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
A lot of little baby ones. In all seriousness, I started out as a Sociology and Photography major in University – knowing that I wanted to work in media or marketing of some sort. After graduating I landed my dream job as a social manager and worked in social media management and broader digital communications for the next 3 years. I eventually decided to jump out on my own and continued to work managing social and influencer programs for health and wellness brands. Eventually I decided I wanted to focus more on digital creative so I took a couple of courses and jumped into more design and photography specifically focused on creating sustainable and high converting creative for small CPG and service based brands.
FOR OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR FIELD, WHAT DO THEY USUALLY LACK?
The ability to connect the right and the left brain. While I am focused on creative my background in Social and Digital marketing allows me to build creative geared towards conversion and strategy. I don’t just want to make something pretty – I want to make something that drives sales.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
Lots of Squarespace design work for creatives and a lil’ tattoo shop. And tons of photography projects mostly for beverage and skincare brands at the moment!
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
Refined, sophisticated and a lil’ bit playful. I think my podcast website will give you a good sense: www.freelance-therapy.com and also all of my photography work has a little hint of this.

WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
Lack of edginess. While I love to work for different brands I'm itching to do a few more edgy projects than I have been doing currently.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Match my socks to each other, cook my meals and organize my photography files.
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
During my senior year of high school, you'll become who you're supposed to be. During my freshman year of college, don't date the boy with the gelled hair. During my senior year of college, photography isn't the only thing that matters but it's close. And during my first year out of school, don't get your panties in a twist your life is yours to create. AND NOW, not everything has to be perfect to be acceptable.

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I’m currently looking for Squarespace design projects. As well as photography gigs either on a project or retainer basis.
DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL JOB/CLIENT/COLLABORATION.
My ideal web design client is either service based or selling less and 5k/monthly on their website. They’re looking to create something beautiful (that doesn’t look like a template) without having to lean on a developer every step of the way after we wrap up work. And my ideal photography client is just about anyone whether that’s a brand looking to create some beautiful social content and laydowns or! an influencer looking to do a shoot or anything in between.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?
My hourly for web design and other projects is $90/ hour. For branded shoots (think product photography etc.) I charge by the image starting at $65 an image. For all other photography or content creation let's chat to put together a custom package!
