Alisa Gould Simon
Q What do you do?
“I help creatives, founders and artists gain clarity and inspiration through unlocking their intuitive wisdom.”
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I started as a journalist in New York City, covering parties for New York Magazine and doing arts and culture coverage for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and more. I joined a fledgling mobile start-up in the early days of apps and ended up exiting two venture-funded start-ups (one as co-CEO). I then worked as a global strategist for Japan's largest fashion e-commerce business, helping helm the US office and working closely with teams on 4 different continents. Meanwhile, nights, weekends and holidays were spent immersing in the healing arts, and, especially, herbalism, which led me to launch my brand, Flora Luna. I've since certified in a range of healing arts disciplines and see health and creativity as intrinsically linked. Today, as a coach and consultant, I integrate these seemingly disparate worlds of business and the intuitive to support my clients in finding greater success and bringing more of their gifts into the world.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
My multidisciplinary background and ability to listen.
Q What are you working on right now?
Writing, music and supporting others in their creative pursuits.
Q What’s your style?
I love to bridge; I'm always pulling from different points of inspiration. This may be in cooking -- blending Japanese cuisine with Ayurvedic principles. Or, in my monthly Singing Earth gatherings, where I use voice and sound therapy to awaken our ability to tune in to nature's wisdom.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I'm a writer and a musician at heart and am currently working on my first book and my first EP. I'd always love more time for these projects.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Finding steady rhythms while tending various creative projects. Each has its own heartbeat and exists within its own timeline. Tending to each with appropriate care takes solid structure and sharp instincts.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
All the household tasks...
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
Don't worry. Trust yourself. You're worth it.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
Interspecies communication.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Coaching (individual sessions and personal retreats) and corporate creativity & wellness workshops.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
Coaching female entrepreneurs, especially moms, and helping them find the resilience and balance needed to create sustainable lives and businesses that empower and uplift.
Q: What is your rate?
Coaching sessions usually start with a 90 minute discovery session ($288); session packages are $225/session. Workshops, personal and corporate retreats fees depend on programming.
