One good thing that’s come out of the course for me is learning not just graphic design but creating a portfolio and understanding the business and finance side. It literally is everything you need in a course!
One good thing that’s come out of the course for me is proof of design capabilities and the desire to create even more different websites.
I've been looking to make a career shift into graphic design, and taking this course has helped me tremendously. It's strengthened both my technical skills and my confidence as a designer.
I took the Graphic Design Course because as a very recent post grad that graduated with a BFA in Illustration and is still preparing her illustration portfolio, I decided to pivot to design or at least expand my scope to design. I wanted to continue my education and learn something a bit more practical.
I would say go for it to anyone thinking about taking the course. As a starting point in my design journey, it was very helpful.
One good thing that’s come out of this course for me is that I really feel like I can immediately use the skills that I learnt in this course to grow in my design career.
I loved getting feedback from Sarah and Mindy! It felt great to get feedback from experienced professionals who do this work for a living. Their comments and suggestions went a long way. Taking the course without them just would have left me feeling uncertain of if what I was making would actually survive in the "real design world."
I can see the uplift in my designing immediately after completing the modules and becoming more familiar with the tools. My colleagues have noticed too!
I've come out of the course feeling confident enough to say 'I'm a graphic designer' which is something I never would have believed at the start of the course!
The sessions didn’t feel too long or exhausting, it was well paced and entertaining as well. I liked his way of explaining things simply, it felt so real (more than teachers at uni, that’s for sure) and I now feel more confident because I can picture better the clients expectations, the workflow, the final results delivery.

One good thing that’s come out of the course for me is that I have a deeper understanding of the key aspects of digital marketing and advertising. Understanding the funnel and how each step is represented across different advertising techniques was super beneficial.
I loved how practical the course is is, how it was never boring, and I loved that I could sense ilovecreatives actually wants more designers in the world. This course wasn't gatekeeping anything! It was generous in EVERY sense possible.
I've been a fan of James’ design work for a long time, so getting to learn from him directly was such a gift. The classes were fun and I came away truly inspired. What’s next for me in social design is taking my design studio to the next level!

Sip sip sip! Have you noticed how many different drinks there are in the market lately? From cocktails in a can to fizzy water drinks…endless options. There must be something in the water!
Alex Matthews is the Founder of HERE Studio, De La Calle, and Highly Likely. He has over 15 years of experience in the consumer goods industry and has successfully launched beverage companies over the years.
Most industry experts are either too busy and protective of their ideas or simply unwilling to share essential steps that could truly benefit start up founders. What if founders were armed with a proper tool kit that provided the freedom and confidence to take those early steps without second guessing, and be based on real world examples?
Are you a designer or creative interested in working in the food and beverage industry but aren’t sure what it takes? Maybe you’ve been eyeing HERE Studio and said to yourself "How can I work at a place like HERE?"
This course teams up with Alex Matthews, founder of HERE Studio. Shadow industry expert and see what it takes to make it in the CPG big leagues.
AI is changing the landscape of the internet, but the barrier to entry for some of these early access tools is pretty high. I want to have a conversation about how to use them, the different types of LLMs out there, their potential, and how they will redefine the creative economy in the future.
This course is for first time parents or curious humans that are thinking about how to juggle a newborn baby and being a creative person.
There’s a lot of different courses out there on how to deal with the newborn stage, but none that really spoke to the creative type that (1) is open to doing things differently but (2) still needs space/time for their work.
This course is a consolidation of many different perspectives so that you know all your options and pick the one best for YOU.
