Q What do you do?

I’m the Founder of Studio Mesh and a Front-End Web Developer/Designer.

At Studio Mesh, we’re all about transforming bold ideas into immersive digital experiences. We reject the ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach, crafting work that’s as impactful as it is functional. Our focus is on helping brands showcase their individuality, connect meaningfully, and evolve.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I studied Fine Art at Central St Martins, which set the tone for my creative journey. After uni, I worked as a photographer's assistant for editorial photographers while developing my own practice. Life took me to Suffolk, where I spent some time with my small child, giving me the space to reflect on what I really wanted to do. That’s when I started learning to code.

I took a few courses to get me started, but the real progress came from persistence, experimenting, and figuring things out on my own. I began building websites for small businesses and artists—and I haven’t looked back.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

My Fine Art background helps me create designs that stand out, while my photography experience ensures the visual assets are impactful. I focus on clean, bold aesthetics that combine functionality with creativity, always tailored to the client’s vision.

Q What are you working on right now?

I’ve just launched the new site for my agency, Studio Mesh, and I’m currently planning some exciting projects for 2025.

Q What’s your style?

My style is bold, unapologetic, and a bit rebellious. I thrive on defying the norm and deliberately pushing against convention to create something truly unique. For me, it’s not just about making something functional—it’s about making something unforgettable.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

Learning new skills. It’s what keeps me moving forward and opens up endless creative possibilities.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Spending way too much time on admin! Luckily, I’ve started working with an amazing digital project planner who’s refining my workflow as we speak.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Socials. That’s it.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

Stop doubting yourself and just go for it. I wish I’d jumped into coding sooner instead of wasting time on “sensible” jobs that didn’t inspire me. Trusting your gut is always the right move.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I’d ask them about self promotion and marketing - it is my weak point. I am also always open to new design ideas and concepts, I would ask them what they would have differently in some of my projects.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I’m interested in projects that push boundaries and embrace bold, unconventional ideas. I want to work with creatives and brands who are ready to stand out and make an impact.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I'd love to team up with an architecture firm or design agency that’s really shaping spaces and visuals in bold ways. I have a soft spot for the raw, unpolished edge of brutalist design and thrive on translating that into digital spaces that truly stand out. It’s about connecting with clients who aren’t afraid to push boundaries and whose work demands a website that’s as impactful as their projects. Just think—clean, striking digital platforms that perfectly mirror the boldness of brutalist architecture.

Q: What is your rate?

Custom sites start at £3K, tailored to fit the needs and scope of each project.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Drop me an email, hit me up on socials, or use the contact form at studiomesh.co/contact.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

There are too many to name, but I’m inspired by anyone pushing boundaries—designers, artists, musicians, you name it. Music is always in the background while I work, and Jack White is pretty much my go-to for inspiration.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Learning and experimenting. Staying curious keeps the ideas coming.
