Q What do you do?
“I’m a UK-based Squarespace designer helping creatives and wellness pros launch elegant, SEO-friendly websites — with VIP Days, Two-Day, and One-Week options that make the process feel simple and calm.”
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
Before web design, I was a wedding photographer, working at some of the top luxury venues in the UK. When the pandemic brought everything to a halt, I had to completely pivot. I taught myself Squarespace design and slowly built a new business - as a single mum — one client at a time. I leaned on my creative eye, said yes to every course going, and kept showing up!
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I combine thoughtful, clean design with solid SEO strategy — I’m an Accredited SEOSpace Expert, so search performance is built into every site I create. My process is fast but considered, with options like VIP Days and Two-Day Websites that keep things simple, without losing the style or elegance my clients are looking for.
Q What are you working on right now?
I’m creating a series of Squarespace templates in my signature minimal, elegant style. I’ve also got some lovely client projects coming up — including a wedding photographer, a florist, a coach, a hypnotherapist, and a wedding venue. I love working with a wide range of creative and wellness-based businesses — the variety keeps things interesting!
Q What’s your style?
I like things to feel calm, clear, and considered. I’m drawn to simplicity — but the kind that still has warmth and personality. I usually lean into neutral tones, plenty of white space, and modern but elegant fonts. I also place a strong focus on curating imagery carefully, so everything feels cohesive and intentional. My designs are minimal but never cold — I want people to land on a site and feel at ease, like they’ve found the right place.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
Creating templates. I’m often busy with client projects, but I’d love to have more time to develop my own template store. It’s been on my list for ages, and I’m slowly carving out space for it.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Trying to do all the things — in work and in life. Client work takes up most of my focus so finding time for marketing, writing blogs, or just switching off can feel like a bit of a juggle. That said, I wouldn’t trade the freedom and creativity of running my own small business — even on the busy days!
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
Someone to help with Instagram and Pinterest — planning, posting, and just keeping things ticking over without me having to think about it. And if I could stretch the budget, I’d hire a chef too… so I never have to worry about what’s for dinner again!
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
When I was just starting with web design taking on new clients, I’d tell myself: “Take the time to really qualify who you’re working with — make sure it’s the right fit. And get your systems in place early. Clear boundaries, good processes, and simple tools will make everything easier — for you and for your clients. It’ll change everything.”
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
Probably financial planning — just getting clearer on how to structure things behind the scenes so I know where I’m heading, and what I should be aiming for. I tend to get caught up in the creative side of things and put off the more practical bits.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I’m always open to working with kind, thoughtful clients — especially in the creative or wellness space — who appreciate a no-drama, calm approach to life and business. I’m especially drawn to women who are pivoting in their careers, or building something that feels meaningful to them.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client is someone who values an organised, guided process — and is happy to put in a bit of prep before we dive into the design. They care about good branding and understand how strong photography can really elevate a website. They’re clear on what they want, but open to suggestions and trust me to bring it all together beautifully.
Q: What is your rate?
My web design pricing starts at £750 for a simple one pager and approx. £2000 for a more comprehensive website. I also offer Squarespace Design Power Hours and Squarespace SEO Power Hours, starting from £89.
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
The best way to contact me is via my website where you can either send a message or book a discovery call to find out which of my services might suit you best.
Q Who is a creative you admire?
Melissa Love — a brilliant WordPress designer and an inspirational business person. I worked with her at The Design Space and Style Cloud for over four years (alongside running my own business) and learned so much from her. She’s insanely talented!
Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
A long walk in nature.
