Heather Davis
Creative Director & Copywriter
Pittsburgh, PA
Q What do you do?
“I offer 1:1 creative direction for women ready to take center stage in their work, and transform inner shifts into visible brands.”
Through my signature Work Out Loud creative practice—blending copywriting, brand strategy, art direction, and launch planning—I help women turn being fully themselves into the business model.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I shut down my profitable, fully booked wedding planning business at peak success because I couldn’t pretend to care about taper candles and limo schedules for one more second.
Instead of staying in a role I’d outgrown—one I created myself!—I used everything that chapter taught me to help other women drop the act and build businesses that reflect who they are now.
While facing my reinvention, I also had my first kid, and started to believe in the universe. Very slowly, I took the biggest, most important step: I started to believe in myself.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I Work Out Loud on my own business in public, and podcast about my process growing Heather Davis, Inc. in real time. I share the process of building a business that reflects who I’m becoming while I’m still inside it, and that openness attracts women who feel seen, creatively activated, and safe enough to become more of themselves.
I also bring past clients onto the podcast to talk about what happened after they bet on themselves. Their stories tend to unlock something in the women listening, too.
Q What are you working on right now?
Right now, I’m building a more visible, honest version of Heather Davis, Inc. in real time. I’m refining my positioning around “Self Sells,” growing my podcast into a deeper storytelling platform, and creating a body of work centered around women who are ready for their outside world to finally reflect who they’ve become internally.
Q What’s your style?
Self sells.
If you're ready to identify as authentic, take a peek at my case studies.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
Copywriting for sure--The rush of nailing a home page header is my drug of choice.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Ironically, I help clients clarify and structure their vision for a living, while my own backend systems are usually the last thing I prioritize. I’m used to leading with instinct and momentum. Right now, I’m learning how to pair that with stronger structure.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
Take my hands out for a fresh gel set and return them by lunch.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
"Nothing, she's got it." - Alysa Liu - Heather Davis
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I’d love deeper insight into how to blend emotional transformation, mindset, and manifestation with genuinely high level creative strategy in a way that still feels grounded and credible.
A big part of my work lives between intuition and execution, and I’m really interested in how to communicate that without being boxed into “self help” or surface level wellness culture. I believe one woman led brands deserve the same level of vision, storytelling, and creative direction as major companies, and I’m fascinated by what helps women fully invest in being seen.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I’m craving collaboration with women who feel something shifting, and are done orbiting their own potential. They're ready to move before overthinking themselves out of it.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My dream client already knows she’s talented, and has proved it on paper. She doesn't need permission to start, but is looking for support building a brand and body of work that finally reflects the magnitude of where she’s headed. She's aware that dress rehearsal is over, and it's time hard launch herself.
Q: What is your rate?
My focused offerings (VIP Vision Building Days, Website Copy in a Week, Brand Shoot Direction, The Art of the Cold Pitch) range from $1500-$2950.
My 1:1 full scale Vision to Launch container starts at $5,000, with room to expand based on how big your vision is.
I also offer pay what you can copywriting and strategy sessions as a personal middle finger to AI and self help scammers<3
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
If you're feeling the pull, shoot me an email, DM, or inquire here.
Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
Running, running, running, running, running, music.
