Heather Davis
Creative Director / Brand Strategist, Copywriter, Founder of Heather Davis Inc.
Pittsburgh, PA
Q What do you do?
“I help women turn identity shifts into visible brands, businesses, and bodies of work that actually feel like them.”
Through my Go Full Out™ practice, I blend creative direction, messaging, visual strategy, and launch support for women building their next chapter in public.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I spent years coaching collegiate dance at the Division I level, and ended my coaching career as a National Champion. I also built a successful wedding planning business for a decade. One day I was, sitting by my pool with my newborn son upstairs thinking, "Why does none of this feel real anymore?"
I stopped trying to package myself into one thing, started building in public, and went full out as myself instead. Heather Davis Inc. came out of that pivot.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
Most people focus on either the inner transformation or the visible brand. I care about the moment those two things finally match. My work sits at the intersection of identity shift, creative direction, emotional truth, and visibility.
Q What are you working on right now?
Expanding Go Full Out™ through VIP Days, creative direction partnerships, launch strategy, and The Roundtable — a quarterly room for women building their next chapter out loud. I’m also hosting the Go Full Out™ Podcast about visible ambition, creative reinvention, and becoming fully yourself in public.
Q What’s your style?
I’m drawn to work that feels emotionally alive. I care about atmosphere, pacing, visuals, emotional honesty, and the feeling someone gets the second they enter a brand’s world. People connect emotionally before they understand logically, and I think the best brands know that.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
World-building. Helping women shape not just a brand, but an entire atmosphere around who they’re becoming.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
The pressure for women to become fully polished before they become visible. Some of the most magnetic work happens mid-pivot, before you have every answer.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
Document client transformations in real time and turn them into living case studies. Also maybe take my hands out for a fresh gel manicure and return them by lunch.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I’d tell the version of me white-knuckling a successful life that the discomfort wasn’t ingratitude. It was information. The next version of you is trying to get your attention.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I’d want to talk to women who became deeply recognizable without losing themselves in the process. I’m fascinated by the gap between knowing who you are and becoming publicly known for it.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Creative direction partnerships, launch strategy, speaking, podcast features, brand copy, visual direction, and projects centered around identity shifts, visibility, and creative reinvention.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
She’s already proven herself in one chapter and can feel herself outgrowing it. High standards. Creative instincts. Ready to stop performing polished versions of herself and build something that actually feels alive.
Katelyn Werner of Field and Hand Floral is a good example: She came in with an almost empty events calendar, a pivot she couldn't fully name, and a vision she'd been too scared to say out loud. She left with a direction, a brand built around the very things that scared her most, and a way of thinking about her work she says she'll never go back from. Her words: "No one else can do what I do."
