Q What do you do?

I help creatives, founders, and service providers master their messaging (and write their websites) so they can stand out, sell more, and sound unmistakably like themselves.

And that’s so much more than a collection of sentences— it’s your authority, your credibility, and your invitation to the right people. The right messaging turns strangers into believers, browsers into buyers, and ideas into movements. I’m great at helping people find what makes them unique and declare it proudly with words.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I went to college and majored in English, getting two degrees in the subject. While I was in school, I interned at a bikini company where I wrote product descriptions and blog posts, then a local weekly print magazine where I learned more journalism skills. Once I proved myself as a proofreader and transcriber (I can still type 100 wpms!), they let me cut my teeth on stories for the print magazine. I’ll never forget the feeling of seeing my byline in print for the first time! I also freelanced– doing everything from book reviews to a real estate column– taught English and business writing, was a reader for a literary magazine, and kept up my own writing practice. After college, I discovered copywriting and started building my own client base while freelancing for agencies. Since 2018, I’ve worked with hundreds of businesses of all sizes, but my heart is really in the small business and entrepreneurship community.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

As a writer with both literary training (MA in English Literature) and proven conversion expertise, I bring a rare combination of artistic ability and commercial results. With seven years of experience in copywriting and an MA in English Literature, I bring a depth of understanding that goes beyond generic templates or one-size-fits-all formulas.

I’ve spent my career studying what makes words work— from the way Hemingway mastered brevity to the way Austen wielded wit. I know how to distill your brand’s essence into copy that sells with sophistication. I work at the intersection of literary craft and sales psychology to help my clients find the words that sell.

Q What are you working on right now?

A website copywriting system in Notion and Google Docs for people who want to write their own website.

Q What’s your style?

I believe your website should feel less like a sales pitch and more like your audience's favorite book— the kind they can't put down, can't stop thinking about, can't help but share. Your business deserves to create meaning, start important conversations, and build worlds people want to live in. I really love the work I did for Viola Hill Studio. Her website is so simple and concise but says a lot with every word.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

I wish I could design brands. I know and collaborate with a lot of designers, and I wish I could design beautiful brands and websites for my clients alongside their copy that was as good as what a professional designer can do. If I were to add a complementing but separate skillset to my repertoire, it would definitely be this.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

AI being everywhere. AI being pushed as the end-all, be-all solution to everything. The billionaires are way too excited to see the humanities go away, and it’s something we need to stop.

I’m not all against business owners using AI. What I have a problem with is all-out dependence on it and replacing human soul and creativity with a machine. It’s dystopian.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I’d love to have more help with my email inbox. I always get my emails but struggle to put them into the right folder, filter through all the promotional emails, and keep my inbox from getting out of control.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I would sit down with myself 3-4 years ago and tell myself to get back to the creativity and artistry that got me started in this field. I started my business as a creative writer who wanted to make a living as a marketer, and somewhere along the way, I lost that creative spark and sense of curiosity. It’s taken me awhile to get it back, and I would tell my younger self to stop pushing so hard and go back to what she loves. That is the reason I’m here, and it’s what’s going to keep me going for years to come.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I’d love to have a better sense of running a business with products and group offers that exist alongside the 1-1 work. It’s something I’m building right now but find the balancing act tricky at times.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I’d love to collaborate with founder-led business owners who are creative, in their work or in life more generally, and they see a deep need to connect with their audience through sophisticated storytelling. They know that the words need to be genuine, authentic, and original. They don’t want to sound like everyone else. They want to talk about themselves and show up differently and more meaningfully than ever before.

The thing I work on most for people is website copy, but ideally, they understand it’s so much more than that. Your website is the starting point for your messaging. If you don’t have a website, it’s that much harder for people to not only connect with you but understand what you do. Once you have the website down, you can extend your efforts into marketing and relationship building because you know your message and can speak it with conviction.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

The people I love to work with value human creativity and originality. They aren’t trying to hack their business using every AI tool under the sun. They care about authentic human connection, saying what they mean, and building something lasting. They have a sense of purpose in building their business, and while they do want to make money, it’s not their only aim. They’re in business to have more freedom, flexibility, and joy. They’re marketing themselves on social media so they meet the right people, not because they care about influencing. They also trust me and let me write for them knowing I’ll do amazing, quality work.

While I’ve worked with a lot of online service-based businesses, creatives, and wedding pros, I love new challenges. If we feel like a fit, definitely reach out.

Q: What is your rate?

Messaging and website copywriting projects start around $6k, while my copy VIP days are currently $2500. I also do hourly copywriting work for design & marketing agencies starting around $75-$100 per hour. Coming soon, I’m also offering monthly consulting support where I’ll review and give feedback on the various copy you write in your business day in and day out (stay tuned!).

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Inquire via my website or if it won’t fit neatly in a form, email me with more details.

Q Who is a creative you admire?

With Grace & Gold - I’ve hired them like three times and they’re amazing. We’ve collaborated a lot over the years for my business, for their business, for shared clients. They are so, so good.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Reading books & walks on the beach.
