WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I hustled in my 20s! I worked in LA for 10 years, in the music industry running social media for venues and festivals. When I moved to Sydney, I had the goal of being more flexible and in-control in my career (after some serious burn-out). After some soul-searching, I decided to start my own consulting business and brand. Branding is something that came really easily through my past in social media management.
HOW DO YOU STAND OUT IN YOUR FIELD?
I have a strong point of view and creative personality, which translates well into the worlds of branding and social.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
Structuring my days to include more self care and self-reflection.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
I like bright and fun colors and patterns that are a bit left of center. This translates into my music taste (psych!), overall aesthetic of dressing and brand - Miss Lippy. My brand is kind of my alter ego I felt that I had to hide in more corporate jobs of my past: https://www.misslippyau.com/
WE ALL HAVE MULTIPLE SKILLS OR WORK IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD FOCUS ON MORE?
Adobe Suite all the way. I am intermediate at Photoshop and Premiere, but would love to be fluent in those + learn Illustrator and InDesign.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
Anything accounting / book keeping related. I'm great at the creative stuff. The business / admin side of things need improvement.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Book keeper. 100%
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
Put time into activities you enjoy outside of work so you don't put so much of your emotional / personal life into work. I think I got way too emotionally invested in my job in my 20s, which lead to some extreme burnout and bitterness. Oh! and unplug. I need that now too.
IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
How do you invoke that all-embracing humanity that forces I'd like a business coach / mentor to help me learn more about growing my brand. I'm at a weird place at the moment, where I've made some money, and I'm not sure how I should invest it back into my business or how to continuing growing profits while staying a company of one.
WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Social media management, brand design, and building Squarespace ecommerce websites.

I would love to collaborate with The Wing. They've done such an incredible job building a community and their branding is incredible. It would be amazing to work on a project with them in the branding space.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?
Depending on the project, I charge $1500 monthly retainer for social media management that includes a social audit, custom 12-post grid, 5 templates, 5 hours of community management, social growth report
WHO IS A CREATIVE THAT HAS HELPED YOU ELEVATE YOUR WORK?
PUNO! She's the coolest and such a motivator for me. I've admired her for a long time and she was nice enough to get a tea with me and tell me some very helpful tips. Her resources are amazing and she's someone I look to when I'm feeling like I need some help in the motivation world. Other than than, my friend Nels is an incredible designer who always amazes me.
HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?
Budget / Brief would be good. Maybe a good meme!

Meditation, music and doodles!
