Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
My love of brand design began when I started my own business. Creating the world of the brand, selecting the perfect fonts and colors, imagining the most exciting ways the brand could express itself-- I was in heaven. It soon became clear that branding was my real passion! Since then I've been full force designing for small businesses, especially female-founded companies and sustainable brands.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I know the struggles involved in starting your own business, and how hard it is to be a founder. I know how emotionally important it is (as well as financially important) for your branding to be on point, so you can focus on other elements of your business.
From a design lens, I'm very research focused and take a holistic/historical approach to visual design. I want your brand to be timeless and stylish at the same time.
Q What are you working on right now?
In addition to working with clients, I'm working on designing typefaces.
Q What’s your style?
My project SOM really encapsulates the kind of projects I love to work on. I am a huge nerd for mid-century design and modernism, and it was exciting to bring that into the 21st century with this project.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I wish I got to work on more type design projects. I'd love to design covers for podcasts or video series that featured custom type! I think custom type is a really great way to properly "own" your look and bring potential customers/subscribers/readers/etc into your world.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Branding projects for first time founders, female-led brands, and sustainable companies.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client is someone finally taking on the project they've been dreaming about for years. I love getting to be a part of that process and helping someone's dream come to life. It's a really exciting and scary time, and helping people through it is so gratifying to me.
Q: What is your rate?
My prices start at around $2500 for basic branding projects, but every project is different and I try to meet my clients where they're at.
