Q What do you do?

Film photographer

I have a strong passion for everything visual and dip my toes into brand, portrait, fashion, and event photography.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I wasn't dreaming from a very young age of holding the camera, and my path was not a straight line - I went from video editor for a music television to graphic designer in the corporate world and creative director in a few magazines before landing up holding my film photographs. and many things change on the way - places, countries, industries, but one thing was consistent - my strive to be better than yesterday. I'm a self-taught photographer lucky to have as mentors one of the best people in the industry.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

Implacable composition and usage of analog film. And also, i'm not afraid to break rules and try new things. Actually, that is one of my goals.

Q What are you working on right now?

So many ideas - if I don't work on 3-4 projects simultaneously - that wouldn't be me. But let's say - using large format film for my portrait work

Q What’s your style?

I have great respect for the past, but at the same time, I love modern minimalism, wabi-sabi, and craftsmanship. everything analogue and i absolutely love black.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

Interior design styling and still life.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

I want to do epic things, and every time I have to compromise on the quality because of deadlines or budgets, it is hard for me. Cleaning equipment and budgeting.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

The boring business stuff.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

That the place that I'm coming from doesn't define me but will affect my path in a certain way. I believe all the people from East Europe could relate to that.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Interior photography. I have a whole bunch of Scandinavian interior photographers that i admire and this is where I will focus - Ditte Isager, Line Klein, and Pia Ulin to name few.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Something exciting and interesting. I don't want to be just another photographer, I want to do epic shit.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

Probably that will be a brave, creative, and like-minded human, the one you know that will be enthusiastic and that you are not afraid to share even your craziest idea - they will just get it and start upgrading it with their own vision. Together we create this epic stuff that I talked about in the previous question.

Q What is your rate?

This is such a tough question because there are so many variables here. From the hours that you are shooting, to the production size...

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Email is the best: hello@radostinaboseva.com

Q Who is a creative you admire?

I'm blessed to work with so many creative people. Let's say now Maggie from M Flora Design is a creative partner that I love working with.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Alone time somewhere in the nature, I also love driving by myself and listening to 90's music.
