Q What do you do?

We help solopreneurs, founders, and mission-driven brands build an online presence that feels like them and actually works. Through strategy, branding, web design, and social content that blends intuition and conversion, we turn scattered ideas into strong digital identities.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I didn’t take a straight path—but every weird, winding step added up. I started in the world of science and research, which taught me how to think in systems (and probably explains my obsession with strategy). From there, I jumped into the startup scene and landed at Knix, where I got a front-row seat to the chaos and magic of scaling a brand. I managed content and storytelling during their boom years and fell hard for the intersection of brand, community, and culture.

Eventually, I took the leap into freelance life, then built Saltwater Agency—a small but mighty creative studio where we help mission-driven brands build online ecosystems that actually feel good to be in. It’s a mix of branding, websites, and social strategy, all rooted in clarity, empathy, and a slightly unhealthy love of Google Docs.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

We make things fun and safe—which honestly feels pretty rare in this industry. No hustle culture, no inflated egos, no talking in circles just to sound smart. We create a space where clients and collaborators feel genuinely supported and excited to explore, ask questions, and try new things. Our process is strategic, but it’s never rigid. We’re big on clarity, mutual respect, and leaving space for play (because creativity thrives when people feel good). At the end of the day, we care just as much about how the work feels as how it performs.

Q What are you working on right now?

We’ve been carving out time to work on our own social content again—which, like so many of the people we help, we tend to deprioritize when we’re in the thick of client work. Getting back to it has been equal parts fun and grounding. It’s given us a chance to play, reflect, and reconnect with who we are as a studio.

On the client side, we’re managing social for a medical aesthetics clinic and a haircare brand (lots of room for creativity and humor there), and we just launched a website for a leadership coach that strikes the perfect balance between professional polish and real human connection. It’s a mix that feels really aligned with how we like to work.

Q What’s your style?

We’re big on the details. To us, good design isn’t just about what looks nice—it’s about what feels true. Our style leans clean and intentional, but always with a little twist that keeps it from blending into the Pinterest void. We love websites that feel like you’re meeting the person behind the brand—not just browsing a template.

Some recent projects that capture that vibe:

Liz Salzman — playful, stylish, and personality-packed
Casey Zavaleta — dreamy and dynamic, but still warm
Jeff Brown Coaching — clean and professional with a human heartbeat
Finesse by Ashlyn — bold, luxe, and scroll-stopping on mobile

Whether it’s a site or a social feed, we want everything we touch to have presence. Something that makes you pause and say, “Oh, this feels different—in a good way.”

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

We’d love more space to focus on creative direction and writing that stretches beyond conversion goals. I spend a lot of time thinking strategically for clients (which I love!), but there’s something really satisfying about making something just because it feels cool or thoughtful or true. Whether it’s a dreamy brand story, a cheeky social post, or a weird website interaction—I want more of that in the mix.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Having some actual blank space to think, dream, and make things just for the sake of it. The world moves so fast, and everything’s always urgent—especially in the digital space. But creative work needs time. Time to play, to wander, to get bored even. It’s hard to do your best work when you’re always reacting instead of imagining. That kind of breathing room keeps landing at the bottom of the to-do list, and I’m trying to be more intentional about carving it out.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Admin! Handle DMs, scheduling, proactive outreach, onboarding etc ...

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

STOP UNDERCHARGING! You're building something that isn't sustainable and you'll find better clients and have a more positive experience with work if you charge what you deserve.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Sales! Selling has always felt icky even though it shouldn't - it's something I'm still working on feeling comfortable with.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Branding, Squarespace Website Design & Social Media Management

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

Our ideal clients are the ones who really care about brand—not just the surface stuff, but the story, the feeling, the long game. They’re not chasing vanity metrics or virality. They’re clear on who they are, who they want to work with, and why it matters. And they’re kind. Intentional. Open. We’re super mindful about the energy we bring into our collaborations, and we love working with people who meet us there—people who trust us to do our thing, but aren’t afraid to co-create and go deep. When those pieces click, the work is magic.

Q: What is your rate?

Branding and website offerings typically start at $3,000 and scale based on scope and complexity.

If you need both branding and web design together, you can expect the project to be around $8,000 and up.

Our social media packages start in the $3K–$5K/month range depending on deliverables. We’re always happy to chat and see if we’re a good fit—especially for purpose-driven solopreneurs or non-profits working with tighter budgets.
