AMASS is looking for a best-in-class graphic designer who is ready to lead graphic design and photo efforts for an innovative and fast-moving brand. Reporting to the Senior Brand Manager, the Graphic Designer will play a key role in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of marketing content and brand collateral for both print and digital projects. Your role will require you to collaborate on creative direction; create visually stunning collateral; improve conceptual representations; and complete projects from conception to completion. This role will include heavy graphic production and requires high productivity and accuracy.

The Graphic Designer will be extremely organized, able to bring energy to their work, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Daily tasks will include designing digital assets (such as mailers and website assets), print assets (such as account collateral and sales tools), and shooting social content. The right candidate is passionate about visual identity and brand marketing and is eager to jump on the rare opportunity to build and grow a new brand.

CONCEPT & STRATEGY

  • Define the creative look and feel of all content campaigns in partnership with internal strategic and cross functional partners

  • Produce quarterly design trend reports in anticipation of upcoming seasonal promotions and pitch new visually-driven storytelling formats

  • Develop, detail, and communicate brand standards, style guides, and visual design systems on various projects, updating brand guidelines as they evolve; help build engaging, usable, and effective visual design solutions

  • As the company grows, assist the Senior Brand Manager in building an internal digital design team and extended creative team, including freelancers and agencies to augment in-house capabilities when needed

GRAPHIC DESIGN

  • Conceptualize, plan, and produce a wide range of creative material including websites, emails, landing pages, ad campaigns, web and video content, basic packaging and labels, and brand collateral across multiple touchpoints with a mobile-first approach

  • Work with the Senior Brand Manager and leadership to develop presentations and decks for investors, partners, and conferences

  • Build wholesale assets, event promotional materials, media kits, packaging inserts, and any additional assets as needed to support our wholesale channel and PR needs

PHOTO & VIDEO

  • Execute high-quality digital photography for multiple categories used on the website and social channels; maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and productivity

  • Retouch and color correct images to ensure continuity and quality

  • Own all product images on site, audit for accuracy and quality, consistently strive to provide the best experience by leveraging industry best practices and innovation

CONTENT

  • Support the brand’s content verticals and formats around cocktail recipes, hospitality consumer trends, and travel guides

  • Manage the credit process for visuals across all AMASS platforms

  • Support social media team with pop-culture driven creative and video graphic editing.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain relationships with cross functional teams to execute campaigns; in particular, coordinate tightly with other marketing functions, including brand marketing, social, creative and PR to insure campaigns fit with overall brand initiatives and communications timelines

  • Identify, select, and coordinate vendors for printing and publication services, as appropriate to the project; may write and process requests for proposals for printing requisitions; identify and recommend contractors, such as copywriters, printers, illustrators, photographers, post production houses; inspect proofs for accuracy and production standards.

  • Manage a graphics or photographic library and/or maintain digital records.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES & SKILLS

  • A degree in Design or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience with a proven record of strong creative judgement, ideally across consumer packaged goods

  • Solid knowledge of visual design, user-centered experience design, interaction design, brand development, and the creative process

  • Positive attitude and adaptable working style with an entrepreneurial mindset. This is a very hands-on role, you must be able to learn quickly and multi-task, and must be willing to help on any and every level.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills; acute attention to detail.

  • Ability to think strategically, and innovate in both established and new mediums.

  • A diverse sense of taste with the knowledge necessary to apply to various challenges

NICE-TO-HAVES

  • Experience within a startup environment a plus, but not required

  • Copywriting, scripting, and proofreading acumen.

  • Experience with video–or a willingness to learn while at AMASS–is a big plus
