Buoy seeks a Director & Editor, Short-Form Video who support our organic and paid video. You’re mostly focused on founder-led videos for both organic and paid social, + helping edit other video efforts we support. You’ll be shaping the story, pacing, and hook to maximize attention and performance.
What You'll Do
Edit high-volume short-form content for Meta, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other ad platforms.
Craft compelling hooks, pacing, captions, graphics, and sound design that keep viewers engaged.
Collaborate with producers and the creative team to bring concepts to life while contributing your own creative ideas.
Create multiple variations of videos for testing across paid and organic channels.
Stay on top of platform trends, editing styles, and best practices while maintaining brand consistency.
Manage multiple edits simultaneously and deliver high-quality work on tight timelines.
What We're Looking For
3–5+ years editing social-first content for brands, agencies, or creators.
Strong storytelling instincts with an understanding of what drives retention and performance.
Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro (After Effects and motion graphics experience is a plus).
Deep understanding of the differences between organic and paid social creative.
Fast, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a rapid testing environment.
A portfolio showcasing high-performing social content across multiple platforms.
