At Capturely, we specialize in creating stunning headshots that help our clients feel confident and look fantastic. Based in Westfield, Indiana, we’re a rapidly growing tech startup that remotely shoots executive headshots for some of the biggest brands in the world, including Google, Microsoft, and Paramount.


Your Role

As a Virtual Headshot Photographer, you’ll connect with clients remotely from our office, using innovative technology to guide them in capturing professional photos from their smartphones—no studio necessary!

Position Details

Title: Virtual Photographer

Availability: Full-Time

Growth Opportunities: Potential for Full-Time & Management Roles

Employment Type: Contractor

Compensation: Starting at $25/hr (with performance review after 90 days)

Benefits: None

Average Workday: 6-8 hours capturing images for 20 to 40 sessions


Key Responsibilities

  • Remotely direct and photograph clients using their smartphones, ensuring high-quality results.

  • Collaborate with Capturely’s photography and marketing teams to address unique client requests.

  • Handle image naming, cropping, processing, and color correction.

  • Maintain an organized workflow to meet production deadlines.

  • Ensure consistent quality and adherence to brand standards.

  • Set up and break down equipment for shoots.

  • Transportation to and from our headquarters in Westfield is required.


Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of customer service and amateur photography experience is preferred (not mandatory).

  • Familiarity with current trends in headshot and portrait photography.

  • Experience in portrait or lifestyle photography (1+ year preferred, but not required).

  • Basic knowledge of retouching and image editing is a plus.

  • Strong communication skills, particularly for on-camera direction.

  • Excellent self-management abilities: punctual, organized, and proactive.

  • Adaptable with great attention to detail.

  • Must pass a background check.

Skills and Attributes

  • Outgoing and personable—comfortable working with a variety of personalities.

  • Proficient in digital phone photography.

  • Ability to adapt to different photography styles and take detailed notes.

  • Maintain a positive attitude, even under pressure.

  • Some sales or customer service experience is preferred.

  • Comfortable with natural light photography.

  • Familiarity with Adobe software, Google Chrome, and G-Suite (Gmail, Hangouts, Google Maps).
