CARVINGBLOCK, a creative agency at the intersection of hospitality, culture, and design, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Intern to join our Los Angeles team.

This role offers hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, and digital storytelling, supporting both CARVINGBLOCK’s internal channels and our portfolio of hospitality clients. From concept development and community engagement to on-site production and post scheduling, you’ll gain insight into the full creative process behind building thoughtful, visually driven brands.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and passionate about how stories come to life through social and digital platforms.

This internship is designed as a learning opportunity with the potential to transition into a full-time role for the right candidate.

THE ROLE:

The Social Media Intern supports CARVINGBLOCK’s digital ecosystem through asset organization, scheduling, and on-site content coordination.

This role works closely with both the Social Media and Content teams to help manage content libraries, schedule posts, engage with online communities, identify influencer opportunities, and support production on shoots.

It’s a foundational opportunity to learn how creative strategy, production, and digital storytelling come together within a hospitality-focused agency.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administrative & Organizational Support

  • Capture and share client recap notes internally for review and alignment.

  • Maintain organized file systems across Google Drive, Notion, Microsoft Teams and shared folders.

  • Support the scheduling of internal meetings, creative check-ins, and content planning sessions.

  • Collaborate with account leads while they continue to manage client-facing communication.

  • Social Media & Content Support

  • Assist in scheduling and publishing content across platforms using social media management tools.

  • Monitor community engagement by responding to DMs and comments using CARVINGBLOCK’s approved guidelines.

  • Conduct social listening and flag brand mentions, trends, or opportunities relevant to CARVINGBLOCK and its clients.

  • Support influencer outreach and coordination by assisting with research, list building, seeding logistics, and tracking engagement results.

  • Support the content production team during shoots and activations by helping with organization, styling assistance, and on-site coordination.

  • Review dailies, organize selects, and help prepare assets for post-production.

  • Communicate clearly and enjoy collaborating with creative teams.

  • Are passionate about hospitality, culture, and the process of crafting visual narratives.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with social platforms and scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Sprinklr, Iconosquare, etc).

  • Experience with Google Suite and basic content organization preferred.

  • Comfort supporting both creative and operational sides of content.
