Seeks a Digital Designer

Remote

NiceMail (by Emma Lemon) is looking for a part-time freelance digital designer to work alongside me, making really nice emails. Here at NiceMail, that is all we do. We make emails. Our clients range from global brands to smaller independents in the retail space.

This is an entry level role, so I don’t expect you to have 15 years experience. A good eye for layout, typography, able to use Figma & After Effects/PS and a willingness to learn/hone your craft is good enough for me.

This might be a good fit if you’re looking for regular work but open to the possibility of a full-time position in the future.

The Specifics:

Hours: 10 Hours P/W

Rate: £15-£20p/h DOE

Location: Remote. Happy for you to be based anywhere in the world as long as we can connect a few times a week at a reasonable hour (for both of us)!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Wireframing in Figma

  • Creating GIFs/motion graphics specifically for emails (if you’re more of a motion person that would be wonderful - we can work with that)

  • Designing emails (again in Figma) and preparing for use on the web

  • Prepping decks for approval

  • Contributing to internal decks (ideas + inspo)

  • As the brand is still developing, there may be some scope for helping shape us as we grow

Tools/Software Requirements:

  • Figma

  • After Effects

  • Illustrator

  • Photoshop

  • Notion

  • Any experience in ESPs, HTML/CSS or the e-commerce/marketing space would be fab too.

You:

  • Passionate and driven

  • A genuine love for design

  • Good communication

  • Collaborative

  • Growth mindset

About NiceMail

I’m not going to come at you with all the usuals, we’re not a family - we work together. I don’t believe anybody should be forced to work under pressure. Fast-paced environments are for the unorganised. I thoroughly enjoy what I do and I believe you should be having a nice time, even at work. If you’re not having a nice time, what’s the point?

The Interview Process

This will be split into 2 parts. The first will be an informal chat (15 mins) to hear about you and to see if we’d be a good fit. The second will be a bit more in-depth (30-45mins) where we will discuss your work and you can ask me any questions.

Our calls will be via Google Meet and will be camera on.

If you need any assistance or reasonable adjustments, please do let me know.

I’ll let you know either way if you’ve been successful or not and will do my absolute best to provide helpful feedback.

If this sounds like something you’d be interested in, please send over your portfolio to emma@nicemail.com
