California-inspired lifestyle brand Jenni Kayne Tribeca is looking for a part-time sales associate to join our TriBeCa sales team in New York. Jenni Kayne specializes in simplified luxury apparel, Italian-made footwear, and refined home goods. We pride ourselves in creating beautiful shop environments that are warm, inviting, and intimate.  

We are looking for someone with an understanding of the Jenni Kayne aesthetic and knowledge of the brand. Responsibilities

  • Maximize sales and provide friendly and welcoming customer service
  • Communicate effectively with customers to determine their needs
  • Keep an up-to-date client book and track client sales history
  • Drive sales through consignments, partnerships with Interior Designers, personal shoppers and stylists
  • Handle all point-of-sale transactions including sales, discounts, exchanges, refunds, gift certificates, store credits, gift wrap, alterations and repairs
  • Participate in all merchandising activities: display, stock replenishment, folding, floor changeovers and overall store maintenance
  • Assist with boutique events
  • Support on-line sales and shipping
  • Secure company assets through loss prevention in compliance with company policies and guidelines

Requirements

  • 3-5 years experience in a women's retail store; women's upper contemporary, multi-label or luxury designer preferred.
  • willingness and availability to work during peak business periods - weekends, holidays, etc.
  • proven track record of growing sales & creating new business opportunities
  • detail oriented, organized, confident, available when needed and eager to help
  • charisma, leadership, integrity, confidentiality and resistance to stress
  • eye for marketing and visual merchandising
  • strong IT skills, knowledge of POS Systems a plus
