Meridian Auction Gallery is a newly established Los Angeles auction house founded by professionals with over 20 years of experience managing major auctions.
We're looking for a talented photographer with a great eye for lighting and composition to help photograph our constantly changing collection of fine art, vintage furniture, antiques, glassware, decorative objects, and jewelry.
The ideal person knows how to make beautiful objects look their best, and knows how to work quickly.
Our auctions feature hundreds of items, so we're looking for someone who can balance creativity with efficiency, producing clean, consistent, professional photographs without spending an hour on every object.
You should be comfortable working with studio lighting in a warehouse environment, photographing everything from large furniture to small reflective objects, and making quick adjustments as subjects change.
Experience with product, still-life, furniture, or fine art photography is preferred. Familiarity with Lightroom or Photoshop and basic color correction is a plus, but most images should not require post editing.
Details:
Approximately two 6-hour days per week
On-site at our Boyle Heights gallery
$35–$45 per hour, depending on experience
Opportunity for an ongoing working relationship
