TCR is a product design, strategy, and development studio. Looking for a product designer with 3-5 years of experience who can join our team (FT or Contract available.)

In our studio practice, we often create prototypes to test with real users and refine the insights to build the product further. Our process allows designers to be integral in visualizing testable ideas and carrying through the work to a scaled product. We’ve also started a business called, Foundations that helps facilitate our process through a software tool.

Our ideal design candidate is well-versed in Figma. Able to think systematically about how components link and break into variable states in the cleanest way possible. This systematic thinking shouldn’t be a barrier to going broad to iterate on divergent ideas. Our process with clients is nimble but structured, so we aren’t missing each other when we discuss the work. We’re always trying to guide our decision-making process with real user and business inputs so we can allow designers to be creative in a focused and productive way. We build and ship things that work.

Our founders are based in Tarrytown, New York, 25 miles north of the city.

We work remotely with teams worldwide, so location isn’t a problem but a consideration for us logistically. We’re trying to find a contractor for 3-6 months of work with the possibility of an extension. We’re flexible and open with the amount of experience, but we are realistic with the expertise we need in the basic tooling and process. (You’ll need to be able to jog + sprint with us, so be fluid and fast in Figma.)
