The Ordinary Good Seeks a Marketing Virtual Assistant
The Ordinary Good
Seeks a Part-Time Marketing Virtual Assistant
Remote, CA Hours
📍 Where: Remote (but need to work CA hours)
💰 Pay: $20/hr ideal starting rate (flexible DOE)
About the Role
Hi! I’m Tiffany Wong, co-founder and marketing director of The Ordinary Good. I’m looking for a Marketing Virtual Assistant to start on a freelance basis with limited hours, but ideally, this role will grow over the next year.
Since this is a part-time role, I’d love to work with someone who already has other clients. The starting rate isn’t the highest, so I’m looking for someone with just a bit of experience and a natural feel for copywriting—but I’m happy to invest in training you!
I’ve been in the sustainable D2C space since 2015, working across brand and marketing, and if we’re a great fit, I’d love to mentor you in this role.
What You’ll Do
Starting Off:
Write e-commerce copy for emails, social, and ads.
Adapt to different brand voices—sometimes elevated and luxury-focused, sometimes casual and conversational.
Later On:
I’d train you in brand strategy, paid ads, email marketing, and more.
My goal is to help you learn everything I do and grow this position over time.
What You Need
✅ Copywriting skills – You don’t need years of experience, but you should have a natural feel for writing and be adaptable.
✅ Google Suite – Comfortable using Google Docs, Sheets, etc.
✅ Social media – Familiar with Meta platforms (Facebook & Instagram).
Bonus if you have experience with:
✨ Klaviyo (email marketing)
✨ Shopify (e-commerce)
✨ Meta Ads & Google Ads
✨ Basic graphic design
✨ Client management
Only Apply If This Sounds Like A Good Fit:
🔹 A Verrry Part Time Start: This role would probably only start off at around 40 hours/month (up to $1k/mo.) But, once the person is trained and thriving in this role (if you can grow & learn quickly, this could happen quickly) there is A LOT of opportunity for higher pay, more hours, and bigger opportunities.
🔹 Timeline: If this works out, I would LOVE to work with someone long term (but at minimum for a year.) If you can't freelance with me for at least one year, please do not apply.
🔹 Training: You’ll learn a lot—I’m open to mentorship and training you in D2C brand and marketing strategy. But you will have to be open to learning, training and iteration.

2. Subject Line: MARKETING VA - ILOVECREATIVES
3. Email me : a) a short bit about why you would be a good fit for the role b) your portfolio (if you have one - if not, resume) c) your LinkedIn profile
