YellowBelly is a premium headshot and portrait studio with locations in New York, London and Los Angeles. We photograph actors, creatives and professionals, creating industry-leading imagery in a relaxed, collaborative environment.

We're a small, ambitious team who care deeply about creativity, storytelling and producing work that genuinely connects with people. We're looking for a Social Media Content Assistant to help bring the energy of our New York studio to life across social media.

The Role

  • 2 days per week (9am–5pm)

  • Flexible around acting, freelance and other creative commitmentsBased in our New York studio in Brooklyn


What You'll Do

You'll be responsible for capturing and creating engaging content from inside our busy studio.

This includes:

  • Filming behind-the-scenes content during client shoots using an iPhone 17

  • Editing engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn

  • Creating platform-native content that reflects the YellowBelly brand

  • Scheduling and publishing content with guidance from our Social Media Manager

  • Working closely with photographers and the creative team to develop new content ideas

  • Supporting social media campaigns and helping grow our online community

  • Maintaining consistently high creative standards across every piece of content


We're Looking For Someone Who...

  • Has experience shooting and editing high-quality social content

  • Is confident using Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve

  • Has a strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts

  • Has a great eye for composition, storytelling and pacing

  • Is highly organised and able to work independently

  • Thrives in a fast-paced creative environment

  • Is interested in photography, acting and creative culture

  • Brings positive energy, initiative and a collaborative attitude


Bonus Points

  • Experience working with photographers, creative agencies or talent

  • Understanding of social media trends and platform algorithms

  • Experience creating viral or high-performing social content
