I switched careers during the pandemic from design engineering to graphic design. Like many others during those tumultuous months, I felt lost, hopeless, and completely scared of how I was going to make a living while quarantining in NYC. However, my friend recommended the job board at ilovecreatives, at a time when I was looking for new freelance clients. The job board connected me with a restaurant looking for a newsletter designer and that was the start of a year's long process to building my graphic design portfolio. Fast forward two years later, and now I'm living in Los Angeles, working at a successful design agency as a web & branding designer.
