Q What do you do?

I’m a designer and maker of digital things.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

Art has shaped every part of who I am. I grew up in art classes, went to an arts high school, and earned a BA in Art History while interning at museums and galleries. Creating and analyzing art has always been a constant for me, so shifting a bit to design felt natural—a perfect mix of process and exploration. Add the internet, and you’ve got a digital designer!

Q How do you stand out in your field?

Whether I’m designing or developing, I love figuring out how all the pieces fit together best—visually, technically, and strategically. That genuine curiosity and determination really drives the way I work and helps me come up with solutions that are both creative and functional.

Q What are you working on right now?

I'm doing some ongoing digital design work for an art exhibition called “Repossessions” (currently at CAAM in Los Angeles) and I’m also finishing development on a few websites for a creative agency I work with.

Q What’s your style?

I tend to gravitate toward minimalism in general, but favorite work tends to have unusual elements set within simpler compositions.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

Definitely design for print publication projects like books and magazines. It's currently more of a hobby, but I'd love to have an opportunity to design for those kinds of projects more.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Networking and personal projects! Can never seem to find the time :(

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Maybe have someone to help me with my social media? Although, I'm very much a control freak and would prefer to do all my admin work myself—even if that means really late nights.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

I’d probably tell my younger self: “It’s not as good as you want it to be, but not as bad as you’re making it.” Striving for perfection can be so hindering to the creative process and only leads to incredible amounts of stress. So, not being so hard on myself is the goal!

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

It would be rad to talk to some design teams for brands that I love (eg. Lesse, Ganni, Soft Services, Vacation) to learn how they think and create.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

Looking to work with kind people with cool ideas—everything from small hourly projects to full website builds.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

I love working with folks that also have creative backgrounds. Bonus points if you’re a ceramicist, book lover, art institution, or florist.

Q: What is your rate?

Website design & development projects typically start at $5000, however it depends on how many pages, complexity of design, if you need branding, and where you'd like the site to be built. I'm also open to working with non-profits at a discounted rate!

Q How should someone approach you about working together?
