The Graphic Design Course is typically self-paced; however, the Fall Program is a structured version of the course that provides accountability, designed to meet the demands of today's job market. It's a classroom-style experience with a clear weekly schedule that keeps you on track and prepared for your portfolio review.
Originally exclusive to college students and recent grads, the demand (and results) spoke for themselves, so we opened the Program up to everyone. If you've been wanting to take the course but are worried you won't be able to keep up on your own, this is a chance to enroll in a more hands-on learning environment.
We’ve also invited Keva Dine, an executive creative recruiter with +25 years of experience. Staying on top of the creative industry's pulse, she has a keen eye for talent and a knack for matching people with the right roles. She has a sharp eye for portfolios that work and will help you level up to get hired.
Plus, you get everything in the usual Graphic Design Course.
Typically, the Graphic Design Course is self-paced, but for the Fall Program, we have a special 8-week syllabus to prepare you for the Portfolio Review. You will still have access to the curriculum after the 8 weeks, but we highly encourage students to stick to the schedule to take advantage of this one-time Portfolio Review (exclusive to the Fall Program).

Transitioning into a creative field can be daunting. I want to give beginner and junior designers the tools and confidence they need to start creating designs that make their heart sing and get paid along the way. It was essential to me to create a curriculum that enabled non-designers and beginners to become proficient graphic designers, ensuring a comprehensive approach without skipping steps or tools. We really cover everything.”
I had no idea how to find clients, what to include in contracts, or the best ways to handle client communication. Design doesn't have to be something you pursue in a 4-year program. We're in an age where you can easily become an incredible self-taught designer with a little gumption. We created this course to make design more accessible, because once you have the tools, all you need is a creative vision. It’s like having a mentor by your side, giving you clear (but fun) instructions on how to succeed in the design industry!”
We see numerous portfolios, but many won’t cut it in today’s market. People want the details and steps on how to get a job, a raise, go freelance, and/or build a design agency. I’ve done it all, and this is what I would have wanted to see. This course is going to help you get a leg up and land those creative jobs you really want.”
As a self-initiated course, the experience is what you make of it! Submit things even if you know it could be better, let someone know you like their work, hit the co-working chat. I was able to get an interview at Adobe with the help of a community member and landed a full time job. Lots of a good things have happened since taking the course and I owe it to all the supportive creatives I've met here.
I'm so so grateful for how the program was able to connect my work as a junior designer to the feedback and eyes of industry designers! Not only was GDCCP a really encouraging safe space to meet other creatives starting out like me, but the portfolio I created from the program landed me a lot of new and exciting opportunities such as two brand design internships in Berlin and getting my work in front of design teams at Google.
I loved every part of the course, but my favourite part had to be Section 2, where we really dug into the design process—both strategically and creatively—to create our ✨dream✨ spec brand. Learning Puno's full process for building a strong brand identity, from doing a brand audit to delivering in-depth brand guidelines, was so helpful. It really strengthened my work and made me feel much more confident in creating branding—an area I’m excited to focus on more!
I felt like I was guided through all the right steps of how to present a design project. Each section really helped me understand the flow and process from designing to presenting to finances all while letting my creativity shine! I'd highly recommend taking this course because of how easy the sections are to follow, and you can make great projects all the while!
I loved the opportunity to receive real, thoughtful feedback from Mindy and Sarah throughout the course. Their feedback allowed me to incrementally uplevel my designs and come away with a finished product I was really proud of. They're also the sweetest and it was so fun working with them as instructors after having collaborated with them previously as a client. <3
I truly believe in investing in your people, especially when there are great resources like ilovecreatives. In a small organization, there isn’t always the opportunity to learn from others so ilovecreatives gave our design employees a chance to network with other likeminded professionals, learn from the class, and also be inspired. There was a noticeable improvement in the quality and thoughtfulness of her work! Not only with design, but with presentation. Everyone on the team agrees!
The graphic design course that ilovecreatives has built serves not only as a precursor training for soon-to-be designers, but also as a refresher to bring creative teams closer. We look at this course now as couples therapy for creative directors and their designers — a fun, but educational course to get you both communicating in a healthier way 🫶

The Fall Program is open to everyone!
This program was once exclusive to college students and recent grads, but the demand (and results) spoke for themselves—so we opened it up to everyone. We’ve transformed our Graphic Design Course into an intensive 8-week bootcamp built for today’s job market.
It will be an 8-week long program, from Monday September 29 to Friday November 17.
See Syllabus for the full breakdown.
Enrollment closes on September 25th, 11AM Pacific Time.
Let’s be real - what does a college degree get you these days? It’s no longer enough to say “I went to X” even if it’s a prestigious design school that you paid $80K a year for.
Your portfolio and confidence that you can handle real-world deliverables is all that matters. That’s exactly why we made this course. We want to help you stand out in a stack of applicants, land interviews, and feel confident when you get the job. This is as close to on-the-job training as it can get.
This program was once exclusive to college students and recent grads, but the demand (and results) spoke for themselves—so we opened it up to everyone. We’ve transformed our Graphic Design Course into an intensive 8-week bootcamp built for today’s job market.
In a recent survey, 65% of design students said they don’t feel job-ready—and it’s no surprise. Universities and YouTube tutorials often stop at theory or tool basics. Our curriculum goes further: it’s built to mirror real on-the-job training. You’ll master design tools (Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator) dive into the brand identity process, build a portfolio, and explore career paths, whether that means landing a job, freelancing, or starting your own agency.
Along the way, you’ll get access to a private Discord community, 1:1 feedback, more live sessions, portfolio reviews, and a rich library of design resources to support your growth.
This program is ideal for designers who are serious about leveling up and making real career moves.
Fair question! The cost covers the Graphic Design Course + Program. We put a great deal of thought into the amount of education you receive with the course. If you plan on freelancing, you can charge from $500 to $3,000+ for branding or graphic design services.
Also, if you are shopping around and looking at other courses, a few things to think about:
① If it’s a low price point, who is your teacher? Are they doing work that you want to do? Do you get access to them?
② If it’s a higher price, look at the student work. Often, we find that higher education has more “student work” projects that are fun and abstract, but most companies and clients are looking for real-world deliverables.
YES! We prioritize providing students with personalized 1:1 feedback and support to overcome obstacles. You'll have many opportunities to reach out to your instructors, discover career intel that you didn’t know you needed, and get your questions answered.
Weekly assignments corresponding to each section are provided to aid you in refining your portfolio and honing your skills. These design tasks will be assessed and you'll receive feedback from your instructors! If you ever get stuck or have any questions (which is completely normal!) you can message your instructors on Discord at any time.
On average, about 60 hours. The exact time depends on your current technical and design skills—advanced students may move faster, while beginners may take a bit longer.
We recommend dedicating 10–20 hours per week, with more time if you’re new to design. The program is structured to help you stay on track, and you can view the full breakdown in the Syllabus.
YES! For live calls, we are based on Pacific Time. However, if you miss a session (which happens), we will have recordings available.
Yes! You can find details on the Scholarship Application page.
