About the Role

Reporting into the Brand Design team, this role will help apply brand updates to existing communications throughout the AllTrails marketing ecosystem as we head towards our summer season. This is a two-month contract role focused on globalized production: experience working with translators and localizing creative into other languages is necessary.

To be successful, the individual must be systems-focused, detail-oriented, a collaborative teammate, and be passionate about sharing their love of the outdoors with everyone.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Work collaboratively with design and copywriting within an existing brand system to create world-class creative.

  • Work with and build templates and systems through our tooling (Figma) that result in a well-crafted creative.

  • Building detail oriented creative that can scale as we grow.

  • Opportunity to work on a wide range of executions from email communications, web development to other comms that require brand updates.

  • Ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints, always pushing the AllTrails brand forward through thought provoking work and best-in-class design

  • Work quickly and effectively juggle multiple projects


Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional design experience

  • Ability to produce high quality communications with attention to details and design fundamentals; can demonstrate a strong understanding of layout, typography and visual hierarchy

  • Mastery of Figma (libraries, modular components, auto-layout, etc), Adobe Creative Suite (illustrator, photoshop), etc.

  • Self-motivated with an ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous and remote work environment

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Able to take constructive feedback and evolve designs to meet business objectives

  • Humility, empathy and open-mindedness - no egos

  • Equipment - Contractor must use their own lap top and install Vanta agent to monitor AVS + Hard-drive Encryption (MacOS 11 or higher or Windows 10 Pro* or 11 Pro (64-bit) are the minimum equipment specifications).


Bonus Points

  • Experience designing for various groups of people (international audiences, multi-language localization, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.)

  • Passion or interest for the outdoors, photography, animation, and/or illustration

  • Consulting or prior contractor experience preferred


$40 - $60 an hour

Period: 2 months (March & April)

Hours: 30-40/week
