Remote — 10-20 hours/week

ilovecreatives is looking for a swiss army knife art director that is flexible between graphic design, web design, video editing, and print. The art director designs and works with our design team across all touch points of the ilovecreatives world to build out courses, products, resources, marketing materials, and, most importantly — social content.

We’re looking for someone who understands the ilovecreatives mission to empower others through online education and creative skill stacking.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead design projects 🤝 You’ll be an integral part of our team, bringing your unique perspective to everything you do. You’ll be leading design projects including, but not limited to:

    • Organic Social + Paid Ad Content Creation

    • Email Marketing Design

    • Visual Merchandising of ilovecreatives.com

    • Course Branding & Marketing

    • Editorial Resource Design

    • Digital + Physical Product Design

  • Provide timely, constructive, organized feedback with clear next steps 🛠️ At ilovecreatives we’re all about freeform creativity within a structured process and workflow. You’ll be guiding the design team through creative projects by reviewing design rounds and leaving constructive feedback to get the project across the finish line.

  • Lead design workshops + attend team calls

    • 1x weekly design team workshop

    • 1x weekly team sync

    • 1x monthly merchandising workshop

  • Work closely with our Project Manager and Marketing Lead to execute course and product launches, strategically evaluate KPIs, refine processes, and develop visual standards & guidelines. 

Requirements:

  • You have a solid design process that you ❤️ and that results in strong, impactful designs.

  • Leads the design team by instilling confidence and positivity, while pushing the work to its highest potential.

  • Knows how to tap into a team member’s strengths, and when to request a contractor.

  • Ability to take direction and explore independently 🧠 We’re looking for someone that’s self-motivated and can meet deadlines 📅 without being checked in on. 

  • Confidence in presenting visual concepts that have unique identities but still make sense within the ilovecreatives umbrella.

  • We can trust you. You’re motivated to double check your work because you respect your team’s time. You don’t lean on your team to catch mistakes.

  • You tend to be 4 or 5 on the Helpfulness Pyramid.

  • Able to crack out Descript or Premiere Pro if there’s a video edit needed.

  • Must have strong internet and computer 📶 We are a fully remote team!

  • Consistent time management and pro-active before things start getting overwhelming.

  • Understanding of graphic design principles, such as color theory, typography, composition, and image manipulation 🌈

  • Understanding of ilovecreatives mission and community. You love spreading the wealth of knowledge, no gatekeeping or exclusivity here. 

  • You 💖 feedback. It’s all about growth here! We work iteratively and you’re someone that’s willing to listen and implement feedback quickly. Vice versa. We ❤️ feedback and encourage you to let us know if we can improve in any way.

  • Figma

  • Squarespace

  • Adobe Photoshop

  • Adobe Premiere Pro

  • Adobe InDesign

  • Notion

  • Screen recording tools like CloudApp and Loom

  • Bonus:

    • 3D Tools like Blender

    • Adobe After Effects

    • Adobe Illustrator

    • Adobe Lightroom

Who this isn’t for:

Someone that isn’t willing to learn and try new things. With design, there’s so many different styles, techniques, and processes. We’re always about iterating and exploring new avenues. If you usually like to stick to 1 direction, this probably isn’t for you.
