Wisp is currently looking to expand our team with designers who share our passion to change the healthcare system, live for results, are eager to build something impactful, and are excited to have high levels of ownership, accountability, and tenacity to become experts in their domain.

What you’ll do:

As a Freelance Motion & Graphic Designer at Wisp, your job is to produce best-in-class graphic and motion assets. Your work will unite with a cohesive brand identity that celebrates health and well-being by helping folks understand the range of online healthcare choices now available. Responsibilities include:

  • Design eye-catching email layouts

  • Create digital and social media posts and ads

  • Collaborate with our in-house Marketing and Brand teams to bring our brand and message to life

  • Be constantly tapped into the contemporary design world, researching, testing, and suggesting new methods, styles, and form factors that should feel distinctly Wisp

  • Champion the Wisp brand by advocating for brand recognition of Wisp, maintaining and evolving Wisp brand guidelines and processes, adhering to, and continually challenging the us to expand the brand in thoughtful ways

  • Take direction from the Creative Director and Visual Designer, work closely with channel partners

  • Be comfortable working remotely via Slack and able to respond to feedback in a timely fashion


Skills and Experience:

  • 1-3 years of working as part of design teams at creative agencies or in-house (internships count!)

  • A portfolio reflecting design abilities, your role, as well as your creativity and attention to quality and detail

  • Proficiency in After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma

  • Ability to effectively assess priorities and work well under deadlines

  • Strong production skills with the ability to take direction while collaborating with a wide variety of team members

  • Top-notch verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail. Ability to gain a full understanding of the scope of each project and how to present and explain the design methodology as well as your ideas


Preferred experience (what excites us):

  • A desire to create stigma-free content that empowers folks to prioritize their reproductive health

  • A passion for reproductive rights, including abortion access

  • Relevant work in adjacent verticals: D2C, health, wellness, cosmetics, supplements, etc.

  • Social media fluency and an eye for thumb-stopping content


Requirements:

  • Candidate must be available 10-20 hours per week

  • Candidate must be able to work between the hours of 9-5pm PST

  • Candidate must include a portfolio website with relevant motion and graphic design examples

  • This is a 1099 independent contractor role with potential to grow to full time.
