I help people define what they want to be known for by consulting exclusively with individuals in building their personal brand identity.

I offer a wide variety of branding services that are tailored to each individual client as they come. I’m the perfect fit for anyone looking to advance their career, establish new partnerships, and make themselves available to a wider network of opportunity. Being a people-brander is way fun - I get to work with the go-getters, creatives, and self-starters. My kind of people.

 

WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?

As the co-founder and brand manager of a startup in Silicon Valley, I started blogging about my personal and professional experiences through an artistic and style-centered lens. As I continued building my audience, I noticed that my personal brand development was contributing largely to the success of my professional career, and more interestingly - my company. Now, I define myself as a personal branding strategist. I empower individuals to write their own narrative, create a powerful web presence, and build their personal assets through technical strategy.

How do you stand out in your field?

I build brands for people, not companies. My projects are complex. Branding for a person is often times more intricate versus branding for a company. It’s about working from the inside out; first establishing the client’s values and passions, then identifying things like color palette and fonts. Many of the other personal branding strategists I see feel a bit outdated in their approach - with not enough emphasis on the power of social media. I’m here to change that.

 

WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?

I have two clients who I’m working with right now. One is an author coming out with a new book this year. The other is a stylist working out of a salon she just built in her home, both are going through a rebrand. I get to help them start from scratch in writing their own narrative, building their identity, and empowering them to achieve their goals. How cool is that!?

 

WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?

My own personal brand identity has been created with a nod to Parisian culture. It’s that “je ne sais quois” — a hard to define characteristic that makes something chic and sophisticated. I draw my inspiration from contemporary design, classic essentials, and a feeling of sophistication and effortlessness. I love all that is bold and feminine. I’m not saying I always exude this sort of style - but I would sure like to.

WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?

I would love to sharpen my skills in adobe photoshop and illustrator. I think they are both tools that have the potential to take my career to the next level.

 

WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?

I am currently working two full time jobs - and don’t get me wrong, I love it. I am stoked on it. Though I find I am constantly having to triage the most important things I have to get done. Every time I do something, it means I didn't do something else. I think as creatives and entrepreneurs, that can be hard to settle with. Prioritization is a learned skill.

 

IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?

I would hire a personal assistant - hands down, no questions asked. Someone who could help answer emails, follow up with proposals, and do the mundane tasks I would rather pass off to someone else. One can dream ;)

 

LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?

Oh goodness, I would tell myself to RELAX. You’ll get to do all the things you want to do. You’ll have your shot at the gold, enjoy every season of your life as it comes.

IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?

I would love to talk with a CEO of a large enterprise. This isn’t the kind of career I envision for myself, but I would still like to learn their best practices for success. I would love insight on how they operate their business, manage their employees, and what they did to get to the top.

 

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

I want to work with clients who are serious about building their online presence; people who want to take their careers to the next level, who want to invest in the business of who they are.

 

DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL JOB/CLIENT/COLLABORATION.

I find that the best client relationships are those who share a similar aesthetic with the creative. When a client trusts my style and approach to design, the finished product comes out beautifully. The artist feels free to create, and the client can feel ease and confidence during the entire collaborative process.
