WHAT DO YOU DO?
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I've spent over 15 years working in-house for brands in a marketing or sales capacity. I've learned how to do a lot with a small budget and limited internal resources. My partner is a talented photographer and social media consultant who started in ad sales and worked for an influencer marketing agency. We found lot's of synergy in our talents and experiences and decided to launch Hart & Highland together because we knew there was a better way to support brands with their marketing and creative needs.
How do you stand out in your field?
We are a nimble team of two with expertise in strategy and creative as well as unique experiences on the brand side as well as agency side of the business. We have worked with clients from a variety of industries including fashion, home decor, wellness, food, hospitality and travel. We care about our clients because we are their teammates. We care about their audience because we believe in their message. We love what we do and when our clients succeed, we all do.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
We are working on a variety of consulting, campaign development and photography projects for clients. Our main focus is on supporting our clients with engaging content and conversation that connects all of their marketing efforts.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
Our photography style leans clean and modern with a richness and depth that transcends beyond "of the moment" trends.
WE ALL HAVE MULTIPLE SKILLS OR WORK IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD FOCUS ON MORE?
We feel a calling to work with brands that are "good for the soul". That may mean different things for different people and their customers, but following our heart and intuition for which clients are the “right fit” is important to us. Our work is a big part of our life and we want to partner with those who feel the same.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
Marketing ourselves! We are always focused on our projects for our clients that we have to carve out time to market our own brand and offerings.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Help source brands that feel in line with our values and mission which would allow us to spend more time beginning conversations with brands that are the right fit.
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
Listen to your intuition and trust your gut. This may have been helpful to truly understand when we both first became entrepreneurs. However, you have to go through it to really get what that means (especially when you don't listen to your inner wisdom and get kicked in the face).
IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
Investing in businesses. We love the idea of helping others grow and would like to learn more about funding and venture capital.
WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Brands looking for: social and marketing strategy consulting, hands-on social media management, photography, 360 campaign concepting and development.
DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL JOB/CLIENT/COLLABORATION.
A growing start-up with 5-10 employees, with a small or non-existent marketing team that needs consulting or hands-on support in social media, marketing strategy and photography.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?
Projects are custom and thus have a wide range of rates. Photography rates begin at $400 per hour and we offer half and full-day rates. Our retainer rates for marketing and social media consulting range and begin at $2500 per month.
HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?
It would be helpful to understand what the client sees as their main goal and number one priority as well as monthly budget.
HOW DO YOU STAY CREATIVE?
Take time to do things that feed our souls and most importantly, take breaks!
