Q What do you do?
“I am a social media manager and content creator for small and creative businesses.”
I focus primarily on Instagram and Pinterest but I also work with Facebook and TikTok for my clients. I can create your content strategy, content calendar and implement by posting to your feed, writing captions, creating hashtag groupings, engaging with your community and providing monthly analytic reports. I can also create the content for you. I can take product/service photography, and video to create Reels. I can also create text graphics for your feed, story or reel covers. I also work a lot with Pinterest and can manage and create content for your Pinterest business account.
In summary, I help brands create their dream social media presence that drive business, community and engagement!
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I have been running my own crochet business since I was in college. I focused heavily on posting to Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok. I grew a following on all three platforms which has led to thousands of sales of my crochet patterns and a book deal!! I loved marketing my business and creating content so much that I knew I needed to help other business owners do the same. Social media is so powerful for brands!
Q How do you stand out in your field?
My attention to detail, my creativity and my work ethic. I built my small niche brand by staying consistent and passionate about what I was doing. I do the same for my clients.
Q What are you working on right now?
Right now I manage and create content for a handful of local businesses on Long Island. And I also create content and run Pinterest accounts for e-commerce brands that are located throughout the country. I am also working on my crochet book that I referenced earlier!
Q What’s your style?
I always keep the brand I am working for in mind when it comes to style and aesthetic so a lot of thought and work goes into making my clients feed on brand for them. Social media can be very trendy and I try to create content for my clients that can stand the test of time. Content that will stand out amongst the crowd!
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I love being creative so I love to work on content creation whether that’s creating graphics for Pinterest or editing videos and pictures to put together into Reels or TikTok videos.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Getting in front of clients and brands that are looking for my services.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I would love to have someone take the content that I create and make sure it is scheduled out on a scheduling platform like Later for me.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I wish I would have known this job was actually something I could charge for. I feel like we all take advantage of what comes naturally and easily to us and we don’t realize that others need help in that area and are more than willing to pay for it! This job allows me to have location and time freedom. As someone who has been a personal trainer and fitness instructor for years and constantly trading my time for money, this is a refreshing change of pace.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I would love to learn more about graphic design and paid ads. Marketing is one of those industries where things are always changing and evolving and there are ALWAYS new things to learn. So I am constantly reading books, listening to podcasts and learning from others about ways to be a better marketer.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I am looking for clients that want social media off their plate. I am looking to manage Instagram and Pinterest accounts as well as create content for creative entrepreneurs.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client would be to work with another artist, crafter, blogger or someone that has a similar business to my crochet brand that would need my help getting their art to reach a bigger audience.
I also work a lot in the fitness industry, I am still currently a Pilates, Barre and strength instructor, so I would love to work with fitness and wellness brands.
Q What is your rate?
I charge a monthly retainer and prices vary based on the amount of services and deliverables I am providing for the client. That being said, my packages are completely customizable to each individual client. For a starting reference, my content creation services start at $500/month and full service social media management starts at $1000/month.
