WHAT DO YOU DO?
“I’m a full-time professional party rocker & entertainer aka a dope DJ. I’ve been the Official Tour DJ for artists like: Kelly Rowland, Omarion, T-Pain and Teddy Riley. Some of my other clients include: Gibson Guitar, MTV, CBS Studios, Coca-Cola, The Grammy Association, Carnival Cruise Line and more!”
I’m known for not only creating great vibes sonically but also being super interactive with my audience so that everyone feels apart of the fun.
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I’ve spent more than half my life as a DJ. My mother, being a DJ herself, unknowingly provided this road to me. My first gigs were for my school, lol! I was 12 years old at the time but it worked because I knew what we wanted to hear! By age 14, I was discovered by a popular recording group and toured as their DJ for 9 years. Today, I can say I’ve traveled to 34 counties doing what I love. I’ve learned that consistency while having fun are key. Being timely and paying attention to your clients needs are very important as well.
HOW DO YOU STAND OUT IN YOUR FIELD?
Event/Club DJ, Sporting Event DJ, Festival DJ, Radio DJ, DJ Instructor. I believe my resume is so diverse because I understand that it’s not all about playing the right songs. I bring high energy and spontaneity to my events. I know overall people want to feel good and my job is to bring that out. People always say I look like I’m enjoying myself while doing my job. Thing is... I don’t see this as a job, its is an opportunity to connect with people who range in music tastes and ethnic groups. I don’t know everyone there but whether I’m encouraging you to sing along or show me your best moves, you’ll want to participate and be in the moment!
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
My current schedule consists mostly of concerts with recording artists and corporate client events. In between, I work at building relationships with new clients.
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
Musically, the best word to describe me is eclectic. I love any song that feels good, no matter the genre. My specialty are songs from the HipHop/R&B/Top40 genres but I am versed on others like Salsa, Rock and Reggae.
Overall, I’m an optimistic, fun, creative person. I believe in respecting all people and always doing my best.
WE ALL HAVE MULTIPLE SKILLS OR WORK IN VARIOUS INDUSTRIES, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD FOCUS ON MORE?
Without giving it away.. I really would love to focus on my idea for a DJ Las Vegas strip type show. DJs have become larger figures in entertainment but lack a different approach to their audience. If I’m correct, my idea will be huge for entertainment and DJs!
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
I would love more time to record mixes for my site. The mixes I create now, are specific to requests from clients and don’t always work for general purposes.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
That’s easy! Client contracts, following up and collecting insight/contacts for new gigs! The more free time I have for my craft, the better. I could use it to get more mixes done too!
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
I would tell the high school me: Choosing music over college is ok. It will all work in your favor. Your family will come around and you’ll still earn a Bachelors.
I would tell my early 20’s self to grab those income properties now!
IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
If I could gain more insight on who the best contacts are for booking world festivals, that would be a great benefit.
WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I really love performing for massive crowds and youth. Any opportunity with Festivals or kids is ideal. Working on set whether in front of the camera as an DJ actress or behind the camera as a host for crew and audience are great gigs as well. In addition, bringing some of my ideas for events alive would be a major plus.

Overall, I love adding new items to my resume. I would enjoy providing my talent to any company or project that is different and forward-thinking. Examples of entrepreneurs and companies I like: Jay Z, Oculus, Cirque Du Soleil, Missy Elliott and Google.

My fee varies from event to event.
Depending on the details:
$400-850 per hour (locally)
Flat rate begins at $2,500
