WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I interned a TON. I got my portfolio beefed up by writing wherever I could. I also said yes to everything!
FOR OTHER PEOPLE IN YOUR FIELD, WHAT DO THEY USUALLY LACK?
In my field, I think a lot of people easily lose track of what the big picture is. It's very important to keep the audience in mind, and understand what the audience wants to see and how they consume media.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
I'm working on a few interviews and features. The end of the year is always the busiest for a publication! But thankfully, I just wrapped up a few big projects at work.

WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?
I want to do more creative direction for photoshoots, and fashion styling.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
There's always so much I want to do! I think the most frustrating thing is communicating your vision to a team. It's great when they get the vision and want to help realize it, but it is definitely hard if they don't or if you can't convey it the way you want to.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
I would love having someone with me to bounce ideas around! It's also great to have an extra pair of hands to help with sourcing, pulling items, administrative stuff...
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
BE PATIENT! Everything happens for a reason and if you work hard, you'll get to where you need to be, even if not immediately!
IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
I would love to talk to more editors in high fashion publications about how they feel about the changing publishing landscape. It's definitely an interesting time in media - everything is changing/going digital. I personally think that even websites are archaic! Everything is going to be social/mobile.
WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I am always open to writing opportunities. I would also love to collaborate on fashion photoshoots, creative direction and styling. I also take on a lot of content creation projects for social media platforms.

My ideal client will understand my vision and trust me to create the best content for what they're looking for.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?
It depends on the project! For writing projects, I charge anywhere between $200-$400 USD (depending on whether it's a feature, research piece, interview...). For content creation/influencer posts I charge anywhere between $50-$100 USD per Instagram post.
