Q What do you do?
I curate personalized digital marketing strategies for clients implementing tactics such as social media management, content creation, influencer marketing & newsletter marketing.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I've spent the past four years working in corporate marketing but felt constricted creatively. I observed a great deal of opportunity in emerging advertising capabilities that weren't being capitalized on. In that time I had learned a great deal on both the organic & paid ends & felt confident I could design marketing strategies for clients of my own. Which is exactly what I did!
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I think it's my experimental approach & understand of the evolving digital landscape that sets us apart. I don't let my knowledge of common strategies hold me back. I am always looking forward & seeking out new ways to promote my client's brands.
Q What are you working on right now?
My current focus is in supporting a handful of clients in the fashion, wellness and beauty spaces. Alongside that I'm refining my studio's branding and internal marketing approach.
Q What’s your style?
Think 1980's Blue Lagoon! Living in Southern California i'm immediately drawn to natural elements - sand, water, wood, etc. I also love a nostalgic vibe like what sunscreen brand, Vacation is doing. I'm currently working with a celebrity beauty brand whose been able to seamlessly combine these elements in a surreal, 90's magazine aesthetic.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
The many strategies available to employ and the little time I have to master all of them. On my to do list is exploring more paid social platforms, advanced design & SMS marketing.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I love directing creative strategy however the implementation can be time consuming. I'd love to eventually direct a team to write copy, design graphics, edit video content in accordance with my strategy.
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
Always say yes to opportunity! Capitalize on any chance to learn, network, be creative. The faster you try something and fail, the faster you advance.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I've always been fond of Seth Godin's quote, "Marketing is no longer about the stuff you make, but the stories you tell." I believe this to an extent and would love to dive into a conversation with an expert on the power of storytelling in modern marketing.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Part-time opportunities with clients who are interested in launching a digital marketing strategy but don't know where to start.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
A brand or client whose vision resonates with mine. It's a collaborate process so I believe it's essential for both parties to be on the same page about an approach.
Q What is your rate?
I design custom packages for each client based on the project scope. The monthly retainers typically fall in the $1500 - $3000 range.
