Q What do you do?

I help brands stand out with beautiful, meaningful and impactful visuals.

I work on projects at any point in a brands life-span. Sometimes that means starting with just the idea. I can take an idea and deliver an entire brand; naming, copywriting, logo design, packaging, photoshoots, marketing materials, and sometimes product development. I can also come in and help spruce up an existing brand with new packaging design, updated logo, or consulting on product expansions etc. Brands can get stuck where they are and just need a fresh new perspective. I can do that too!

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

I worked at a small company in New York City where I was given a lot of free reins to build the business… which I did! Then I worked as a freelance art director for large companies such as Coty International, Martha Stewart Living, and Victoria’s Secret Beauty. Since then I have helped smaller brands build, and larger brands expand. I built my own brand in 2012, a forward-thinking pure candle line, that has received many accolades for design excellence, innovative packaging, and for being a trailblazer in the non-toxic fragranced candle space.

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I have over 15 years of experience working with brands in the lifestyle space. I have also created my own brand that has received many accolades. I bring my entrepreneurial spirit, business mind, and intelligent design to all projects. When you work with me, you aren’t just getting a great designer you are also getting personable and caring guidance for your business. I approach all projects, whether a logo design, graphic work, or an entire branding project, with multiple mindsets to make sure we create something meaningful and lasting.

Q What are you working on right now?

I am working on my ongoing projects and servicing my clients. The majority of my clients stay with me through the course of their brand’s life. So I am always working on helping them expand while expanding my services to new clients.

Q What’s your style?

My perspective is that the best brands show up for their customers, the environment, and society, and offer genuine, transparent perspectives. Visually, my taste tends toward elegant, refined, and beautiful. I do like to design for play and fun as well! A project that exemplifies my taste is Lite + Cycle

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

The skills I would like to focus on more are brand stories. From visuals to packaging design, setting the tone of the ethos and vibe of a brand is what I would love to do! I adore lifestyle industries. My expertise is in beauty, but I have been branching out into more progressive spaces and would like to have more opportunities in all areas.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

What is making your job/business/project hard to move forward? What task keeps landing at the bottom of the To-Do list?

Honestly, I don’t feel all that frustrated. I am in a good flow and the more work I have the better the flow. The task that keeps landing at the bottom of my To-Do List is reconciling QuickBooks!

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

I would hire them to take over my social media.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

In 2008 I wish I could have told myself that I would live in Los Angeles by 2012 so that I enjoyed the winter cold and snow more.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Currently, I am intrigued by the NFT world, and would love to talk to an expert in that field. I always enjoy gaining insight on anything that is new, radical, and hard to understand.

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I am looking for opportunities to support brands that create beautiful and meaningful designs. I can come in at any point of a brand’s life to help strengthen its ethos. Packaging design, logos, copywriting, naming, and some product development.

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

My ideal client is a client that is passionate about their work and trusts me to do mine, which is to bring their passion to life! I am very open to feedback and easy to work with and thrive when clients give me a loose rein to show them what I can do.

Q: What is your rate?

Project rates start at $5,000. A la carte design projects require a minimum commitment of $1,500 and then can be charged hourly going forward.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

The best way to approach me is to send an email letting me know you have a project on your mind, and then we can set up a time to talk. I don’t need too many details to start the conversation!

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Hailley Howard is a really fun photographer I have worked with. I highly recommend her.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Don’t just see, look.
