Q What do you do?

Lovejoy Studios specializes in highly contagious, eye-catching content to help brands stand out.

I am extremely passionate about emerging digital trends and generating measurable results. I've been working with incredible companies like Olly Nutrition, Lemon Perfect, Compartres, Magic Spoon, Ohza, Juneshine, Swoon, and so many more.

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

Before starting my business in 2017, I managed and created all of the social and digital content for Yoobi; A vibrant, colorful school and office supply company that gives back. Not only did I drive all brand, content and social media strategies, but I personally developed all of the collateral used company-wide. After a couple of years, I realized I could do what I was doing for their company, for myself, and with an opportunity to work for lots of different incredible businesses instead of just one. I built out my business plan, closed my first client, and went from there!

Q How do you stand out in your field?

My work immediately draws in consumers attention with bright, bold colors. Each image is carefully crafted to share a part of the brands mission or story.

Q What are you working on right now?

I'm currently working on a fun collaboration with Swoon and Supergoop. More exciting things in the pipeline!

Q What’s your style?

Colorful, editorial content that incorporates tons of texture and layers.

Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?

My work is mostly focused on CPG, but I would LOVE to dive into more fashion/accessories; i.e. shoes, hats, bags, etc. Also, food photography! Specifically baked goods or in local restaurants.

Q What is frustrating you right now?

Expense reports! Oof.

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Photo assist! It's always great to have an extra set of hands to help speed up the production process or even help with modeling.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

ABC! (Always be closing). Even when things are busy.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

I'm always down to learn new techniques! Learn about new equipment, editing tutorials, etc. This business is always evolving and you have to stay on top of it!

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?

I'm open to all types of photography opportunities. I typically tend to shoot more in-studio vs. lifestyle but open to anything!

Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.

GFore. I would love to work with them on a campaign. They carry a similar style to the work I produce and the type of product I'd love to shoot.

Q What is your rate?

I typically charge $215 per image or $2500 for a half day, off-site photoshoot. However, I'm always happy to work on pricing and offer bulk order discounts.

Q How should someone approach you about working together?

Email is always great! I'd love to know their scope and budget if it's something they're willing to provide off the bat. Hilarious GIFs are ALWAYS welcome too.

Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?

Quality family time. A little work separation helps me clear my head.
