WHAT DO YOU DO?
“I’m a digital designer with a focus on e-commerce, email design and graphics for the web.”
I spend the majority of my time on email campaigns, social media stories and ad sets for re-targeting.
In addition to designing for clients, I offer white label design services for freelancers and agencies who don’t have a full time designer on staff and want to offer graphic design for their clients. Your clients will never know who did the work 😉.
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
I worked in house for DTC e-commerce brands for many years before jumping ship to freelance full time. In the beginning I worked nights and offered low rates (and even free work) to build up my reputation and was grateful to be able to move over to 100% freelance shortly after.
How do you stand out in your field?
I love designing emails and spend a lot of time in the email world so that has really become my niche!
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
Lots of food and fashion!
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
I love astro art and collage work as well as old school cute like ∞♡*kaomoji*♡∞ and flat design (like 70's Hello Kitty - call me Sanrio!) but don't have a ton of time to work on my own projects :(

I wish I had more time to build on my motion skill set.
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
Taxes, computer issues and keeping things fresh and creative when I feel completely uninspired.
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
I would hire a virtual assistant who had access to my entire digital life to read my emails and remind me about meetings, manage admin/accounting, poke me about upcoming deadlines and stay on top of my client communications.
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
I wish I could have told myself to move to full time freelance much earlier than I did. At the time I was afraid of letting people at my full time job down and wasn't putting myself and my needs first.

WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I love working with clients who are helping others in some way (not just 1% for X) but really focused on giving back.
DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL JOB/CLIENT/COLLABORATION.
I really enjoy one off projects vs on-going engagements as it gives me the opportunity to work with lots of different brands. I also love projects that aren't design related - where the client just needs a platform walk through or help fixing something technical.
