Michael McKown
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
What steps? I'm fiercely independent and would never fit a corporate mold. I'm a serial entrepreneur. I was a journalist in the US Navy. I co-founded the nation's largest working dog organization and created and ran its bimonthly magazine. Later, I founded my own working dog magazine and served as editor/publisher for 22 years. I co-founded Ghostwriters Central in 2002 and serve as its president.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
Excellence, honesty and client service.

My biggest frustration is finding high-quality, reliable writers for my business.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Writing and public relations projects of almost any kind. And serious clients.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
We are always happy to take on writing assignments. Close collaboration is necessary. My ideal client is a serious person with a great idea and is willing to pay for the service we deliver.
