I create websites and social/brand strategies to tell stories, sell products, and create community.
WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO GET TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW?
In 2014, I was working in buying but never felt inspired or creative. I have always loved social media & branding and knew that was where I wanted to pivot. I applied to every social media job and finally, I was given a chance. I did social media for one of the largest grocery stores while also launching my own creative project called Common Table Co. I had such a wonderful time growing those brands but wanted more agency experience so I started working for an agency based in L.A. I learned everything from creating a strategy proposal to how to pitch a new client. I loved working with multiple clients at once, coming up with new strategies, and figuring out what works best for each brand. A few months ago I launched website services and it's become just as fun as creating strategy.
How do you stand out in your field?
I am consistently on top of new updates in the social world and am always pushing my clients to try new things.
WHAT ARE YOU WORKING ON RIGHT NOW?
Right now, I'm working on gaining new clients. I just moved from Seattle to New York so my network is very small right now and I'm hoping to expand it, which means lots and lots of networking!
WHAT'S YOUR STYLE/PERSPECTIVE/TASTE? DO YOU HAVE A PROJECT THAT REPRESENTS THIS?
My style is very clean and minimal. I love working with clients to create a cohesive look that is beautiful & aesthetically pleasing.
WE ARE ALL SLASHIES WITH MULTIPLE SKILLS, WHICH ONE DO YOU WISH YOU COULD DO MORE OFTEN?
Right now I'm working in the food space but I would love to expand & work with small businesses that are in the lifestyle/hospitality space. Would love to work with more restaurants as well!
WHAT IS FRUSTRATING YOU RIGHT NOW?
Community engagement. Responding to comments and minding & grinding takes a lot of time and usually gets pushed down to the bottom of my to-do list despite the fact that I don't want it to!
IF YOU COULD HIRE SOMEONE FOR $20/HR, WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE THEM DO TO MAKE YOUR DAY EASIER?
Oooh I definitely would higher someone to help me schedule posts and do community management. It's such a key part of increasing engagement and brand awareness but can be a very time consuming task.
LET'S BRING OUT THE TIME MACHINE. WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU COULD HAVE TOLD YOURSELF, WHEN, AND WHY?
I wish I would have told myself to nurture and keep up with the contacts I've made over the years. This business is so much about who you know, especially if you are dependent on referrals and now looking back, I wish I would have been more intentional.
IF YOU COULD TALK TO AN EXPERT TO GAIN MORE INSIGHT ON SOMETHING, WHAT WOULD IT BE ABOUT?
I would love to talk to someone about client acquisition and learn some of the best ways to grow my client base and increase awareness of my services.
WHAT KIND OF OPPORTUNITIES/PROJECTS ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
I am looking to work with brands and businesses on sharing their story, building out their brand & social strategy, and creating their websites.
DESCRIBE YOUR IDEAL JOB/CLIENT/COLLABORATION.
Would love to work with a client that is open-minded and allows a lot of creativity. I'd also love to work with brands to help launch their products, develop and execute full-fledge campaigns & build out influencer programs.
WHAT IS YOUR HOURLY RATE, RETAINER, OR SALARY RANGE?
Pricing depends on the client but for strategy, those packages look anywhere between $500-$2000. For monthly community management services, my pricing starts at $1000 per month. Website design starts at $800.
HOW SHOULD SOMEONE APPROACH YOU ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER?
HOW DO YOU STAY CREATIVE?
Travel! I get my best ideas while traveling and I always come back with a refreshed outlook on where I want to grow.
