Q What do you do?
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
Growing up between Spain and the U.S., surrounded by a family of artists, I have always found creativity second nature. It felt inevitable that I would make something, anything, anything.
I’ve been a writer at heart since I learned to spell. Professionally, It’s been four years.
When it came time for college, I headed to New Orleans to study Mass Communications and Theatre at Loyola University. I honed my writing and editorial skills while immersing myself in media theory and digital communication. During that time, I started to grasp how my passion for writing could also morph into a career. Spending nine months writing for The Pitch, I wrote everything under the sun, from editorial pieces to reviews and Q&As. This role also allowed me to experiment with multimedia storytelling, where I combined my writing with visual elements, sparking my interest in creating narratives that extend beyond text. Now, I write for publications such as Antigravity and Gambit.
Here, I learned the ins and outs of managing social media campaigns, crafting engaging content, and analyzing data to optimize performance. I had the opportunity to experiment with video content, which sparked my interest in multimedia storytelling. My next role as Creative Marketing Manager at ZeeMee allowed me to apply those skills while working with a dynamic team. I drove content strategies across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. As Social Media Manager at Jack’s Studio KC, I’ve built on those experiences by leading creative campaigns and fine-tuning my video production, graphic design, and strategic analysis skills. This has further solidified my ability to think critically about audience engagement and create resonant content.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I’m versatile and can combine strong storytelling skills with a deep understanding of audience engagement. I prioritize connection and authenticity. My ability to balance creativity with strategy allows me to produce content that entertains and delivers measurable results.
Q What are you working on right now?
Right now, I’m fully immersed in my DIY publication, BRNR Zines, a part of BRNR Collective, the art collective I co-founded. BRNR Zines is my way of blending my passion for journalism, publishing, and creativity into something raw and personal. Each issue mixes visual storytelling and music culture. Every aspect of the zine aspect is handmade and created from scratch, from the writing and editing to photography, design, and printing. I aim to give emerging artists a space to share their work while creating a platform for the creative storytelling often overlooked in mainstream media.
Q What’s your style?
Style-wise, I’m a total maximalist. The more posters on my walls, the better. When it comes to work, though, I’m pretty much down to try anything. I’m all about exploring different aesthetics to match a client’s vision, and it’s extremely rare that I say no to an idea.
I’m drawn to narratives that explore culture, entertainment, and human connection. I aim to create work that informs, entertains, and emotionally resonates with readers/viewers.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I’d love to explore the entertainment or fashion industries more. They seem like natural fits for me because they blend the art of storytelling with visual expression—both of which I have heart eyes for. I’m inspired by the idea of contributing to projects that reflect culture, push boundaries, and create meaningful connections with audiences.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Juggling multiple competing priorities, especially with tight deadlines, can be frustrating. I thrive when I can immerse myself in projects and take the time to create thoughtful content, but the pressure of meeting quick turnaround times or managing numerous tasks at once often creates a sense of impending doom.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I’d hire someone to be my personal ‘energy manager.’ I often need reminders to stand up, stretch, and hydrate when I’m too absorbed in work. Maybe get me some coffee too….
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
I would tell myself to forget the idea of cringe. It's silly!
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I’d love to gain insight from an expert on building and sustaining authentic communities around brands. As someone who works with creative collectives and social platforms, I always seek better ways to foster engagement and create spaces where audiences feel connected.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
I’m aiming to land a full-time job but am super open to part-time, contract, and freelance work.
I am looking for projects that allow me to dive into storytelling in various ways. Whether writing engaging content like pop culture roundups, in-depth articles exploring meaningful topics, or thoughtful reviews and interviews, I thrive on creating pieces people can connect with and appreciate. It’s all about adapting my writing to the topic and audience, ensuring it resonates and captures people’s attention.
Let me write about your brand, edit your copy, or help shape your message to connect with your audience. Whether refining your tone, ensuring your content flows, creating compelling blog posts or social media content, drafting press releases, or crafting feature articles that capture your brand’s voice, I am here to ensure your words work for you!
On the graphics side, I enjoy bringing visual content to life. From brainstorming ideas for images to helping create visuals that complement the writing, I believe the right design can elevate the entire experience and make the content even more *chef's kiss*.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client or collaboration is one with open communication, a shared passion for the work, and a focus on creativity and growth. I love working with teams that value collaboration, where ideas flow freely, and everyone is invested in creating something meaningful. I’m especially excited by projects that combine storytelling and design.
Q: What is your rate?
My hourly rates for writing services typically range from $30 to $50, depending on the project's scope and complexity. For smaller tasks like blog posts or social media content creation, I charge closer to the lower end of the range, while my rates may be higher for larger, more in-depth projects like feature articles or long-term content strategy. I’m always open to discussing pricing further for your specific project needs.
My rates for social media management and content creation typically range from $25 to $40 per hour, depending on the complexity of the work and the level of strategy required. My rate is generally closer to the lower end for tasks such as creating individual posts, scheduling, or responding to comments. However, it would be higher for more strategic work like audience analysis, campaign planning, or social media audits.
