Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
After getting my degree in Marketing, I went on to work as a buyer for an online retail company. Disappointed by the waste I witnessed in the mainstream fashion industry, I quit my job after a few years to start a sustainable clothing brand. I designed and managed my brand’s website for several years, eventually translating the skills I learned into helping other entrepreneurs tell their stories online. One of the things I love most about creating in the digital space is that together we can actualize a memorable brand experience — with zero waste involved.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I offer high-quality web design at an affordable price. I love working with like-minded entrepreneurs and small businesses to create beautiful websites that will help to connect them with their audiences in meaningful ways. I always aim to make the website development process stress-free, streamlined, and super efficient from start to finish.
Q What are you working on right now?
I just launched my first Squarespace template. I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I hope others can connect with it. I’m super excited to offer a digital product at a much lower price point than custom web design – as a former entrepreneur, I know the struggle involved when starting a business and not having the resources for custom web design but aching for something just as beautiful. I’m looking forward to creating more templates in the coming months that will cover a variety of brand and small business needs.
Q What’s your style?
My creative approach is clean, minimal, and feminine while emphasizing beauty and simplicity (was that redundant? You get the point). Neutrals, pretty fonts, and adequate white space make me feel happy and calm. Less is more in my opinion.
My new template Romance Journal perfectly portrays my design sensibility. After struggling for a while to find my voice in the web design realm, I feel confident that this concept site showcases my unique perspective and taste, and I’m looking forward to expanding on that.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I'm an amateur when it comes to Photoshop/graphic design, but I'd love to up-level my skills as it really goes hand-in-hand with web design.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
Coding expertise is vital when it comes to creating Squarespace websites that look like custom designs and I would love to be able to do it myself vs. subcontracting it out. I've been working on educating myself in the CSS/HTML realm for awhile, but unfortunately it's just not the way my brain works. I’m trying to reframe it as an extension of my creative abilities, but I won't lie – it's a struggle!
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
Not to stress so much about finding the perfect career path after college – things have a way of working themselves out.
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
Copywriting is the next realm I’d love to dive into. I’m a big reader, so it feels like a natural extension of my interests. I would love to help others tell their stories verbally as well as visually.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Custom Squarespace websites.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client has a design aesthetic/taste very similar to my own and trusts my perspective. Friendly, clear communication, and fun to work with!
