Taylor Lowery
Q What do you do?
I also create and edit content and manage social media accounts.
Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?
I’ve had a love for writing ever since I was a little girl. My mom is a published author and one of my biggest inspirations. This love of writing led me to study Journalism in school and take on many different freelance gigs in the creative world. I started creating and editing my own content about 5 years ago just for fun, and this led me to discover many different passions within that realm. I also ran a personal blog in undergrad which further sharpened my writing skills along the way.
Q How do you stand out in your field?
I am a multi-faceted creator and truly enjoy helping others. I am skilled in product photography, copywriting, blogging, editing, and content creation/management.
Q What are you working on right now?
I am currently working on my Master’s degree which has put a halt on creative endeavors, but I’m so ready to get back out there :)
Q What’s your style?
I have a very witty but warm writing style, and love to throw lighthearted jargon into a piece (when appropriate). When it comes to creating content, I love neutrals, but I also love saturated colors and funky/fun prints too. I believe I am good at giving a specific voice to a client’s brand that feels unique to them. My Instagram account is a good visual of how I like to edit my personal photos, and this Pinterest board will give a feel for my tastes and the different things I enjoy photographing.
Q Out of all your slashies, which one do you wish you could do more often?
I would love to do more writing work, such as copywriting, blogs, articles, and captions. I also love creating and editing content.
Q What is frustrating you right now?
The pandemic (coupled with some added health issues) has put me in a bit of a creative slump over the last two years, as I know it has for many of us. I genuinely just want to do work that I feel passionate about again and that allows me to have creative freedom.
Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?
I would probably hire somebody to help find me new clients :)
Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?
Do not let self-doubt creep in and do not let the fear of rejection get in the way of putting yourself out there and accomplishing your wildest dreams. It’s easy to fall victim to “imposter syndrome” when it comes to creative endeavors and I have to recognize that I have unique talents and gifts to offer the world :)
Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?
I would love to get better at videography and making reels. I know the basics, but it can be very time-consuming.
Q What kind of opportunities/projects are you looking for?
Any type of writing work, as well as social media management/content creation.
Q Describe your ideal job/client/collaboration.
My ideal client would trust me to bring their visions to life and allow me to have creative freedom. I am very passionate about all things holistic health, nutrition and fitness, so any companies that align with these values are important to me as well. I also love doing product photography, whether it be food, cosmetics, etc.
Q: What is your rate?
8-10 posts a month
Daily stories / Engagement $500 a month
Q How should someone approach you about working together?
Q Who is a creative you admire?
I’ve been following Mallory for years, and have watched her Instagram account blow up. She is from a small town in Ohio just like myself, and creates beautiful content and shares her thrifting hauls.
Q Oh! and… how do you stay creative?
Taking breaks, yoga, and nature walks!
