Q What do you do?

I grow consumer goods brands. Previously, I’ve managed projects in product development, go-to-market strategy, marketing tactics, creative production, media planning and profitability. Specifically, I have experience working at Kellogg’s, Unilever, Pepsico and Reckitt. Additionally, I have creative experience in industrial design, UX/UI design, video editing and graphic design through freelancing!

Q What steps did you take to get to where you are now?

Academically, I developed a foundation in Marketing/Branding through my bachelors degree at the University of Toronto. I continued that journey to complete my masters degree at Columbia University. However, outside of these structured learning environments, I've always been a self-starter and motivated learner. To stay current and learn key marketing/design tools, I often leaned on tools like Youtube or Skillshare to bolster my skills. Lastly, I am a firm believer in the value of learning through experience so through lots of freelancing/volunteer work, I was able to further develop the skills I hold today. I'm a scrappy slashie!

Q How do you stand out in your field?

I have diverse experience from strategy to creative. Although my background is technical in brand management, my skills allow me to translate those business needs into relevant creative. Additionally, through my masters degree in Technology Management, I understand the latest applications of AI/Machine Learning in marketing and how to utilize these essential tools while maintaining the human touch!

Q What are you working on right now?

Currently on an active job search and closing off my masters degree!

Q What’s your style?

My style/perspective is flexible to the project. Personal projects that really represent my personal style are linked below: Hidn AND Atelier Wins

Q If you could hire someone for $20/hour, what would you have them do to make your day easier?

Seek out projects and vet them! Would be great if someone could make that connection between my skills and client needs.

Q What do you wish you could have told yourself, when, and why?

Don't be afraid to try new things and lean into your creative strengths. I think I've always been very technical in my approach throughout my career however, I am a creative at heart! I'd like to lean into that going forward to propel my career.

Q If you could talk to an expert to gain more insight on something, what would it be about?

Industrial Design. I love the field and it's highly competitive so I'd love to see how I could eventually break into that field.

Brand Strategy or Product Design

Q Who is a creative you admire?

Don't know a ton of other creatives!
