THE JOBS:

Extra is looking for creatives who can help redefine and recreate the world of credit. Creative Directors, Art Directors, Motion and Graphic Designers, we’re looking to fill a few roles. You might touch a little bit of everything from a rebrand and overhaul of our design language, the UX/UI in our app, brand campaigns that we launch through TikTok and Instagram, content across social platforms and/or even help build our new site.

THE COMPANY:

There’s a debt crisis in the US and today, over 100 million Americans don't want or can't get a credit card. Yet, there are very few alternatives for establishing your credit other than with a risky Credit Card. Our mission is to make credit building safer, smarter, and more accessible for everyone. Extra is the first debit card that builds your credit and earns rewards points.

Our crew has been responsible for internet sensations like Down to Shop, Try Not to Smile, and Coasterville — We are funded by some of the best consumer venture firms including Greycroft, Lerer Hippeau, Firstmark Capital, and more. As of recent, our cofounders Max and Cyrus made the Forbes 30 Under 30 List in 2020.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

You will help build our team and lead our creative strategy. You will own art direction and bring experience managing and overseeing specialized creative resources like design, copy, and animation. You will be responsible for leading and working hands-on in all of our key consumer touchpoints - in-application, across social media, and on our owned channels. You will work cross-functionally with our growth, product, people and comms teams to help bring the brand to life and celebrate it through creative ideas, concepts and assets that ensure a seamless, consistent, and innovative consumer-first brand experience. It is important that you have a deep passion for building relationships and use that to help influence and align teams around a creative vision and campaign strategy.

Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and agency partners, you will be charged with creating and executing strategy-informed concepts across platforms including .com, email, social and paid media. We’re looking for someone at the forefront of cultural relevance and aesthetic excellence, who will be an integral part of our Brand Team, push the boundaries to define our brand creative vision through content and communication, inspire teams across the company, and build award-winning and ground breaking work.
