Gallery Dept. is seeking an organized, motivated, and energetic Jr Graphic Artist to join our team. This role will support our Graphic Artist in creating print layouts, production graphics, and line sheets. Applicants should have 1-3 years of graphic design experience, a degree in apparel graphic design or equivalent, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite. Responsibilities include photo retouching, color corrections, coordinating with vendors, preparing artwork for printing, and managing the asset library. Understanding of screen printing, ink types, and apparel graphic design is beneficial. We are looking for someone who is organized, creative, and passionate about apparel graphic design!


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist the senior Graphic Artist in creating print, graphic layouts, production-ready graphics, trim packages, and line sheets

  • Assist in photo retouching, color corrections, and composting

  • Coordinate daily correspondence with vendors and internal partners

  • Prepare artwork for printing

  • Ensure correct placement and scale of graphics for specific garments

  • Generate color separations

  • Develop art sheets including Pantone colors, graphic placement, wash details, and garment color mockups

  • Produce simple graphics from concept to completion

  • Create mock-ups, recoloring CADs, and artwork

  • Manage and maintain asset library

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite Programs – particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

  • Proficiency in Microsoft programs – particularly Excel and Word

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the screen printing process

  • Familiarity with various ink types

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Creative eye for product and design

  • General knowledge of apparel graphic design and an understanding of printing techniques is a plus

  • Must sign an NDA

Education and Experience:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in graphic design

  • Degree in apparel graphic design or equivalent work experience
