June - Creative Direction
Background
JUNE was founded in late 2019 based on the premise to provide simple, safe and sustainable menstrual care to everyone.
Since our inception, we’ve grown tremendously – primarily due to the fact that we boldly offered our menstrual cups at cost in response to COVID-19.
Our relentless focus on our customers in combination with our strong core values and marketing initiatives have given us a great platform to evolve in 2021.
Project Mission
Our mission is to set up the JUNE brand for long term growth. Our customers currently perceive the low price of our menstrual cups as our core value offer, and this is a threat to our future business. We are pigeonholed by the image of a “bargain brand” that appeals to everyone and in turn, stands for nothing other than a low price.
As such, our current mission is to evolve the JUNE brand by pivoting from price as our main marketing message. We realize the magnitude and challenge of this shift and understand that we have to invest in more complex narratives, storytelling, and creatives to do so.
Where We Are Currently
We have reworked our brand architecture and are ready to share it with the world. We are able to provide you with cohesive documentation that describes our updated position in the marketplace, beliefs, values, tone of voice, personality and archetype.
Objective
Your objective is to interpret the brand architecture and translate it into a creative blueprint and tangible creatives. This includes but is not limited to art direction for photography, print advertising, videos, etc. We do not need actual implementation of the art direction nor do we need any graphic design -- we just need direction.
Key Results
Your work will be the base of our creative decisions in 2021. You’ll answer HOW we interpret the brand architecture and provide tangible references and examples.
