Marie Forleo International seeking an experienced Director of Content to oversee the development of product and marketing content which includes video, audio, and written materials designed to drive sales, conversions, engagement, and retention.
This includes leading a team of writers, producers, social strategists, and digital creators as well as working with external contractors/agencies to ensure that MFI’s content is of high quality and aligns with the company’s objectives and goals.
You’ll be involved in developing strategies for creating and distributing the company's consistent weekly content, paid products and programs, as well as identifying new opportunities for growth and expansion.
In addition to having strong leadership and management skills, the Director of Content should have a deep understanding of YouTube, podcasting, information products, and the overall digital media industry and consistently stays up-to-date on the latest trends and developments.
What You’ll Be Doing In This Role:
Working closely with executive team to advance company’s strategic priorities
Directing and managing an existing teams of writers, producers and digital creators, and hiring/training new team members/agencies/contractors as needed
Making strategic decisions and implementing marketing strategy as it relates to web design, landing pages, content marketing, product development, pricing, offers, emails, hooks, headlines, and all things copywriting
Ideating and implementing a cohesive content strategy that’s aligned with company goals and is tailored to engage, entertain, and convert our audience into raving fan customers
Overseeing the creation, production, and distribution of MFI’s content portfolio, including but not limited to MFI products, social media, web pages, email marketing, SMS marketing, The Marie Forleo Podcast, and MarieTV
Developing systems for content ideation and creation that ensures effective and efficient workflows
Overseeing current and future product development - this includes revising current MFI products (B-School, The Copy Cure, Time Genius, etc.) and the creation of new products
Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure that content is fresh, relevant, and stops people in their scroll
Identifying and developing growth opportunities for the content team

Necessary Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 7 years relevant work experience in digital, marketing, media production and/or editorial development
You’re obsessed with great marketing: headlines, hooks, sales-generating testimonials, irresistible offers, and optimizing conversions
Passionate about making a positive impact on the businesses and lives of our audience
Have successfully hired and managed editorial, writing, production and/or social media teams
Have created and/or lead a team to create consistent, engaging content for loyal communities
Entrepreneurial mindset with experience operating in a hyper-growth organization
Strong ideation, project management, editing, and writing skills, with a knack for uncovering unique story angles, hooks and headlines
A proven ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) and build strong working relationships
Excellent creative instincts and taste
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment
You live and work in the continental United States
