JOB DESCRIPTION
New York Shuk is seeking a Full-Time Marketing Manager to join our growing team and oversee all aspects of marketing. The role will report directly to the founders and is responsible for leading marketing efforts to drive brand awareness, community, and support sales growth by sharing our love and passion for Middle Eastern food & culture.
WHAT WILL YOU DO
Strategy
Plan and implement marketing efforts across digital, social, email, e-commerce, PR, trade shows, and other media.
Manage both short and long-term marketing plans to support sales, revenue, and profit objectives of the organization.
Aid the curation of a consistent brand voice and messaging across all platforms.
Evaluate and recommend channel development programs.
Build local, regional and national partnerships and leverage relationships with brands, at retail, etc. for continued growth.
Partner with Operations, Sales and leadership to manage short-term and long-term innovation plans for new products from inception through launch.
Collaborate with Sales on promotional initiatives within wholesale, retail, and e-commerce, and foodservice channels.
Stay current on new tactics, tools, and partners that can improve our position in the category as well as the marketplace.
Project Management
Organization; build a proper master file with everything and anything related to our needs.
Create and manage master marketing, content, and promotional calendars.
Manage the agency(ies) hired to produce the tools needed to support marketing message .including creative, social media, point of sale, on and off-premise activations, and traditional media.
Establish, monitor, and report on all key performance indicators, and provide in-time strategic recommendations.
Coach, develop and motivate the Marketing team, developing clear work plans and goals.
Social Media
Build upon existing and new categories of content including content creation, content roadmap, category research, and content production
You are responsible for executing cross-departmental marketing plans on all social media channels (Newsletter, Instagram, Facebook & Pinterest), including implementing strategies to grow our audience, keep our followers engaged, and drive sales and traffic to our business channels.
Create more community touchpoints (Ex. manage a facebook group, expand to other social channels)
Manage affiliate program & influencer program
e-commerce
Maintain digital shelf (nyshuk.com) to ensure visitors have content that is up to date, functional, intuitive, and optimized
Lead ad hoc projects for larger-scale site updates
Aid the development of a seamless and delightful shopping experience including discovery, check out, and post-purchase check-ins to drive customer retention and lifetime value
Paid Media
Develop paid search & social strategies that focus on driving customer acquisition
Oversee the day to day execution and optimization of social media, pay-per-click, and display campaigns
Remain up-to-date on segmentation strategies and trends
Public Relations
Maintain master PR lists
Act as primary liaison between brand and PR agency
Maintain close relationships with press, influencers, etc.
Ideate and execute public relations initiatives throughout the year
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
3-5 years experience in Social, Digital, Marketing, or related fields
Previous experience as part of a CPG brand
Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Google Sheets.
Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Lightroom, Canva, Video editing software, or other similar programs
Knowledge of data analytics tools and reporting; experience with Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager
Knowledge of e-commerce platforms like Squarespace or Shopify
Has the ability to successfully lead, guide, and develop a growing team
Strong communication (written and verbal) skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external parties.
Exceptional project management skills
Proven history of self-direction, creativity, and ability to meet deadlines
Great copywriting skills a bonus
